जब अबनेर हेब्रोन पुगे योआबले उसलाई मूल द्वारको छेउमा ऊ सित गोप्य कुरा गर्न भनि लागे अनि योआबले अबनेरको भुँडीमा छुरी हान्यो। अबनेर तत्कालै मरे। अबनेरले योआबका भाई असाहेललाई मारेका थिए। यसकरण अहिले योआबले अबनेरलाई मारे।
