அல்லது நீ உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை உணராமல், உன் சகோதரனை நோக்கி: சகோதரனே, நான் உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போடட்டும் என்று நீ சொல்வதெப்படி? மாயக்காரனே! முன்பு உன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற உத்திரத்தை எடுத்துப்போடு, பின்பு உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கிற துரும்பை எடுத்துப்போட வகைபார்ப்பாய்.

நீ உன் சகோதரனை நோக்கி, ‘சகோதரனே! உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற சிறு தூசியை எடுத்துப் போடட்டுமா?’ என்கிறாய். ஏன் இதைச் சொல்கிறாய்? நீ உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கிற பெரிய மரத்துண்டைப் பார்ப்பதில்லை. நீ வேஷமிடுகின்றாய். முதலில் உன் கண்ணில் இருக்கும் மரத்துண்டை எடுத்துவிடு. அப்போது உன் சகோதரன் கண்ணிலிருக்கும் தூசியை எடுத்துப்போடுவதற்கு நீ தெளிவாகப் பார்க்க முடியும்.
