ಆಗ ಯೆಫ್ತಾ ಹನು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಹಿರಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಹೋದನು. ಆಗ ಜನರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ನಾಯಕನ ನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡರು. ಯೆಫ್ತಾಹನು ತನ್ನ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಿಚ್ಪೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.
