ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಹಾಗಲ್ಲ; ಬಿಕ್ರೀಯ ಮಗನಾದ ಶೆಬನೆಂಬ ಹೆಸರುಳ್ಳ ಎಫ್ರಾಯಾಮ್‌ ಬೆಟ್ಟದವನಾದ ಒಬ್ಬ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಅರಸನಾದ ದಾವೀದನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ನೀವು ಅವನೊಬ್ಬನನ್ನೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡಿರಿ; ಆಗ ನಾನು ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವೆನು ಅಂದನು. ಆ ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯು ಯೋವಾಬನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಅವನ ತಲೆಯು ಗೋಡೆಯ ಮೇಲಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವದು ಅಂದಳು.
