அவர்களுடைய தகப்பன்மாராகிலும், சகோதரராகிலும் எங்களிடத்தில் முறையிட வரும்போது, நாங்கள் அவர்களை நோக்கி: எங்கள் நிமித்தம் அவர்களுக்குத் தயவுசெய்யுங்கள்; நாங்கள் யுத்தம்பண்ணி, அவனவனுக்கு மனைவியை வாங்கிகொடுக்கவில்லை; உங்கள்மேல் குற்றமுண்டாக இப்போது நீங்கள் அவர்களுக்கு மனைவிகளைக் கொடுக்கவும் இல்லை என்போம் என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

அந்த கன்னிகைகளின் தந்தையாரோ, சகோதரரோ வந்து எங்களிடம் முறையிடுவார்கள். ஆனால் நாங்கள், ‘பென்யமீன் மனிதரிடம் இரக்கம் காட்டுங்கள். அப்பெண்களை அவர்கள் மணந்துகொள்ளட்டும். அவர்கள் உங்கள் பெண்களைத்தானே கொண்டு சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் உங்களோடு போர் தொடுக்கவில்லை. அவர்களே கன்னிகைகளை எடுத்துச்சென்றதால், நீங்கள் தேவனுக்குக் கொடுத்த வாக்குறுதியை மீறவில்லை. நீங்கள் பென்யமீன் ஆட்களுக்கு உங்கள் பெண்களை மணம் முடித்து வைப்பதில்லை என்றுதானே வாக்குறுதி அளித்தீர்கள். நீங்களே பென்யமீன் ஆட்களுக்குப் பெண்களைக் கொடுக்கவில்லை. அவர்களே உங்களிடமிருந்து பெண்களை எடுத்துச்சென்றார்கள். எனவே நீங்கள் உங்கள் வாக்குறுதியை மீறவில்லை’ என்போம்” என்றார்கள்.

Avarkalutaiya thakappanmaaraakilum, sakothararaakilum engalidaththil muraiyida varumpothu, naangal avarkalai Nnokki: engal nimiththam avarkalukkuth thayavuseyyungal; naangal yuththampannnni, avanavanukku manaiviyai vaangikodukkavillai; ungalmael kuttamunndaaka ippothu neengal avarkalukku manaivikalaik kodukkavum illai enpom entu sonnaarkal.
