நீ கர்ப்பந்தரித்து, ஒரு குமாரனைப் பெறுவாய்; அவன் தலையின்மேல் சவரகன் கத்தி படலாகாது; அந்தப் பிள்ளை பிறந்ததுமுதல் தேவனுக்கென்று நசரேயனாயிருப்பான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பெலிஸ்தரின் கைக்கு நீங்கலாக்கி ரட்சிக்கத் தொடங்குவான் என்றார்.

நீ கர்ப்பவதியாகி, ஒரு மகனைப் பெறுவாய்; அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் சவரகன் கத்தி படவேண்டாம்; அந்தப் பிள்ளை பிறந்ததுமுதல் தேவனுக்கென்று நசரேயனாயிருப்பான்; அவன் இஸ்ரவேலைப் பெலிஸ்தர்களின் கைக்கு விலக்கிக் காப்பாற்றத் தொடங்குவான் என்றார்.

ஏனெனில் நீ கருவுற்று ஓர் ஆண் மகனைப் பெறுவாய். அவன் விசேஷமாக தேவனுக்கென்று அர்பணிக்கப்படுவான். அவன் நசரேயனாக இருப்பான். எனவே அவன் முடியை சவரம் செய்யவோ, வெட்டவோ கூடாது. அவன் பிறப்பதற்கு முன்பிருந்தே தேவனுக்கென்று விசேஷமானவனாக இருப்பான். அவன் பெலிஸ்தியரின் ஆட்சியிலிருந்து இஸ்ரவேலரை மீட்பான்” என்றான்.
