இந்நாள்மட்டும் இருக்கிறபடியே, அந்நாளில் அவர்களைச் சபைக்கும், கர்த்தர் தெரிந்துகொள்ளும் இடத்திலிருக்கும் அவருடைய பலிபீடத்துக்கும் விறகு வெட்டுகிறவர்களாகவும் தண்ணீர் எடுக்கிறவர்களாகவுமாக்கினான்.

கிபியோனிய ஜனங்களை இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கு அடிமைகளாக யோசுவா ஆக்கினான். அவர்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கும் கர்த்தருடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கும் தேவையான விறகு வெட்டி, தண்ணீர் மொண்டு வந்தனர். தேவன் தெரிந்தெடுத்த இடத்தில் எல்லாம் அவர்கள் அவ்வேலைகளைச் செய்தனர். அந்த ஜனங்கள் இன்றைக்கும் அடிமைகளாக உள்ளனர்.

And Joshua made them that day hewers of wood and drawers of water for the congregation, and for the altar of the LORD, even unto this day, in the place which he should choose.
