எகிப்தியனே பிரவாகத்தைப் போல் புரண்டுவருகிறான், அவனே அலைகள் மோதியடிக்கிற நதிகள்போல எழுமύபிவருகிறான்; நான் பேޠί், தேசத்தை மூடி, நகரத்தையும் அதில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் அழிப்பேன் என்றான்.

எகிப்தியனே அலைபோல் புரண்டுவருகிறான், அவனே அலைகள் மோதியடிக்கிற நதிகள்போல எழும்பிவருகிறான்; நான் போய், தேசத்தை மூடி, நகரத்தையும் அதில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களையும் அழிப்பேன் என்றான்.

எகிப்து நைல் நதியைப்போன்று புரண்டு வருகிறான். அந்த ஆற்றின் பலத்தையும் வேகத்தையும் போன்று எகிப்து வருகிறான். எகிப்து, ‘நான் வந்து பூமியை மூடுவேன். நான் நகரங்களையும் அவற்றில் உள்ள ஜனங்களையும் அழிப்பேன்’ என்று கூறுகிறான்.

Egypt מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ miṣrayim meets-ra-YEEM
like a flood, כַּיְאֹ֣ר yĕʾōr yeh-ORE
riseth up יַֽעֲלֶ֔ה ʿālâ ah-LA
like the rivers; וְכַנְּהָר֖וֹת nāhār na-HAHR
are moved יִתְגֹּ֣עֲשׁוּ gāʿaš ɡa-ASH
and waters מָ֑יִם mayim ma-YEEM
and he saith, וַיֹּ֗אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
I will go up, אַֽעֲלֶה֙ ʿālâ ah-LA
will cover אֲכַסֶּה kāsâ ka-SA
