जब अहिय्याह ने द्वार में आते हुए उसके पांव की आहट सुनी तब कहा, हे यारोबाम की स्त्री! भीतर आ; तू अपने को क्यों दूसरी स्त्री बनाती है? मुझे तेरे लिये भारी सन्देशा मिला है।

heard כִשְׁמֹ֨עַ šāmaʿ sha-MA
when Ahijah אֲחִיָּ֜הוּ ʾăḥiyyâ uh-hee-YA
אֶת ʾēt ate
the sound ק֤וֹל qôl kole
of her feet, רַגְלֶ֙יהָ֙ regel reh-ɡEL
as she came in בָּאָ֣ה bôʾ boh
at the door, בַפֶּ֔תַח petaḥ peh-TAHK
that he said, וַיֹּ֕אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
Come in, בֹּ֖אִי bôʾ boh
thou wife אֵ֣שֶׁת ʾiššâ ee-SHA
of Jeroboam; יָֽרָבְעָ֑ם yorobʿām yoh-rove-AM
why לָ֣מָּה ma
זֶּ֗ה ze zeh
אַ֚תְּ ʾattâ ah-TA
feignest thou thyself another? מִתְנַכֵּרָ֔ה nākar na-HAHR
for I וְאָ֣נֹכִ֔י ʾānōkî ah-noh-HEE
sent שָׁל֥וּחַ šālaḥ sha-LAHK
to אֵלַ֖יִךְ ʾēl ale
thee heavy קָשָֽׁה׃ qāše ka-SHEH
