Proverbs 7 - YLT (Gujarati)

1 My son! keep my sayings, And my commands lay up with thee.મારા દીકરા, મારા વચનો પાળજે. અને મારી આજ્ઞા યાદ રાખજે.

2 Keep my commands, and live, And my law as the pupil of thine eye.તારે જીવવું હોય તો મારી આજ્ઞાઓનું પાલન કરજે, અને મારા ઉપદેશને તારી આંખની કીકીની જેમ જાળવજે,

3 Bind them on thy fingers, Write them on the tablet of thy heart.એને તારી આંગળીએ બાંધજે, એને તારા હૃદય પર લખજે.

4 Say to wisdom, `My sister Thou `art'.' And cry to understanding, `Kinswoman!'જ્ઞાનને કહે કે તું મારી બહેન છે, અને બુદ્ધિને “તું મારું કુટુંબ છે.”

5 To preserve thee from a strange woman, From a stranger who hath made smooth her sayings.જેથી એ બંને તને વ્યભિચારી સ્ત્રીથી બચાવશે. પોતાના શબ્દો વડે ઉંપરાણું કરનાર પરસ્ત્રીથી તારું રક્ષણ કરશે.

6 For, at a window of my house, Through my casement I have looked out,કારણ કે એક વખત મેં મારા ઘરની બારી નજીક ઊભા રહીને જાળીમાંથી સામે નજર નાખી;

7 And I do see among the simple ones, I discern among the sons, A young man lacking understanding,અને ત્યાં મેં ઘણાં અણઘડ યુવાનોને જોયા. તેમાં એક અક્કલહીન યુવાન મારી નજરે પડ્યો.

8 Passing on in the street, near her corner, And the way `to' her house he doth step,એક સ્ત્રીના ઘરના ખૂણા પાસેથી તે બજારમાંથી પસાર થતો હતો, તે સીધો તેણીના ઘર તરફ જતો હતો.

9 In the twilight -- in the evening of day, In the darkness of night and blackness.દિવસ આથમ્યો હતો, સાંજ પડવા આવી હતી અને રાતનું અંધારું ફેલાતું હતું.

10 And, lo, a woman to meet him -- (A harlot's dress, and watchful of heart,અચાનક એ સ્ત્રી તેને મળવા બહાર આવી, તેણે વારાંગના જેવા વસ્ત્રો પહેર્યા હતાં અને એના મનમાં કપટ હતું.

11 Noisy she `is', and stubborn, In her house her feet rest not.તે ધ્યાનાકર્ષક અને બળવાખોર સ્ત્રી હતી. તેના પગ પોતાના ઘરમાં કદી ટકતા ન હતા;

12 Now in an out-place, now in broad places, And near every corner she lieth in wait) --કોઇવાર ગલીઓમાં, ક્યારેક બજારની જગ્યામાં, તો કોઇવાર ચોકમાં શેરીના-ખૂણે લાગ તાકીને ઊભી રહેતી હતી.

13 And she laid hold on him, and kissed him, She hath hardened her face, and saith to him,તે સ્ત્રીએ તેને પકડ્યો અને ચુંબન કર્યુ અને નિર્લજ્જ મોઢે તેને કહ્યું કે,

14 `Sacrifices of peace-offerings `are' by me, To-day I have completed my vows.આજે રાત્રે મારે મારા શાંત્યાર્પણો ખાવા પડશે, આજે મેં પ્રતિજ્ઞા લીધી છે; આજે મેં મારા વચનો પૂર્ણ કર્યા છે.

15 Therefore I have come forth to meet thee, To seek earnestly thy face, and I find thee.તેથી હું તને મળવા બહાર આવી છું. હું ક્યારની તને શોધતી હતી, આખરે તું મળ્યો ખરો.

16 `With' ornamental coverings I decked my couch, Carved works -- cotton of Egypt.મેં મારા પલંગ ઉપર સુંદર ચાદરો પાથરી છે આ ચાદરો મિસરથી આવી છે!

17 I sprinkled my bed -- myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.મેં મારી શૈયાને બોળ, અગર, અને તજથી સુગંધીદાર બનાવી છે.

18 Come, we are filled `with' loves till the morning, We delight ourselves in loves.ચાલ, આપણે પરોઢ થતાં સુધી પેટપૂર પ્રીતિ, આખી રાત મોજમાં મગ્ન થઇ પ્રેમની મજા માણીએ.

19 For the man is not in his house, He hath gone on a long journey.મારો ધણી ઘેર નથી તે લાંબી મુસાફરીએ ગયો છે.

20 A bag of money he hath taken in his hand, At the day of the new moon he cometh to his house.'તે પોતાની સાથે રૂપિયાની થેલી લઇ ગયો છે. અને છેક પૂનમ લગી તે પાછો આવનાર નથી.

21 She turneth him aside with the abundance of her speech, With the flattery of her lips she forceth him.તે તેને ઘણા મીઠા શબ્દોથી સમજાવે છે અને સુંવાળી વાતોથી વહાલથી તે તેને ખેંચી જાય છે.

22 He is going after her straightway, As an ox unto the slaughter he cometh, And as a fetter unto the chastisement of a fool,અચાનક તે જેમ બળદ કસાઇવાડે જાય, અને જેમ ગુનેગારને સજા માટે સાંકળે બાંધીને લઇ જવાય તેમ જલ્દીથી તેની પાછળ જાય છે.

23 Till an arrow doth split his liver, As a bird hath hastened unto a snare, And hath not known that it `is' for its life.આખરે તેનું કાળજુ તીરથી વીંધાય છે; જેમ કોઇ પક્ષી પોતાનો જીવ જશે એમ જાણ્યા વગર જાળમાં ધસી જાય છે, તેમ તે જાય છે.

24 And now, ye sons, hearken to me, And give attention to sayings of my mouth.માટે, હે પુત્રો, સાંભળો, અને મારા મુખના શબ્દો પર લક્ષ આપો.

25 Let not thy heart turn unto her ways, Do not wander in her paths,તારું હૃદય તેણીના રસ્તે વળે નહિ. તેના રસ્તાઓમાં રખડતો નહિ.

26 For many `are' the wounded she caused to fall, And mighty `are' all her slain ones.કારણ, તેણે ઘણાને ઘાયલ કર્યા છે, તેમને મારી નાખ્યાં છે અને અસંખ્ય માણસોના પ્રાણ લીધા છે.

27 The ways of Sheol -- her house, Going down unto inner chambers of death!તેનું ઘર મૃત્યુ લોકના માગેર્ છે કે, જે મૃત્યુનાં ઓરડામાં પહોંચાડે છે.
