Mark 1:31
તેથી ઈસુ તેની પથારી પાસે ગયો. ઈસુએ તેનો હાથ પકડ્યો અને તેને ઉભા થવામાં મદદ કરી. તેનો તાવ ઉતરી ગયો અને તે સાજી થઈ ગઈ. પછીથી તેણે તેઓની સેવા કરવી શરું કરી.

તેની સાથે કેટલીએક સ્ત્રીઓ પણ હતી. ઈસુએ તે સ્ત્રીઓને ભૂંડા આત્માઓના બંધનમાંથી મુક્ત કરીને તેઓને માંદગીમાંથી સાજી કરી હતી. તે સ્ત્રીઓમાંની એકનું નામ મરિયમ હતું, તે મગ્દલા ગામની હતી. જેનામાંથી સાત ભૂત નીકળ્યાં હતાં.

પછી ઈસુએ છોકરીનો હાથ પકડ્યો અને તેને કહ્યું, ‘ટલિથા કૂમ!’ (આનો અર્થ, ‘નાની છોકરી, હું તને ઊભી થવા કહું છું.’)
