1યરૂશાલેમમાં દાઉદે દાઉદનગરમાં પોતાના માટે આવાસ બાંધ્યા અને ‘દેવના કોશ’ માટે નવો મંડપ બંધાવ્યો.And David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent.
2ત્યારપછી તેણે કહ્યું, “ફકત લેવીઓએ જ દેવનો કોશ ઊંચકવો. કારણકે તેમનો કોશ ઊંચકવા માટે તથા તેમની સેવા કરવા માટે યહોવાએ તેઓને પસંદ કર્યા છે.”Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God but the Levites: for them hath the LORD chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
3તેથી યહોવાના કોશને માટે યરૂશાલેમમાં તૈયાર કરેલી જગ્યાએ તેને લઇ જવા માટે તેણે સર્વ ઇસ્રાએલીઓને ભેગા કર્યા.And David gathered all Israel together to Jerusalem, to bring up the ark of the LORD unto his place, which he had prepared for it.
4વળી તેણે હારુનના વંશજોને તથા લેવીઓને પણ ભેગા કર્યા.And David assembled the children of Aaron, and the Levites:
5કહાથના કુલમાંથી ઉરીએલની આગેવાની હેઠળ તેના 120 કુટુંબીઓ,Of the sons of Kohath; Uriel the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twenty:
6મરારીના કુલસમૂહમાંથી અસાયાની આગેવાની હેઠળ તેના 220 માણસો હતા.Of the sons of Merari; Asaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred and twenty:
7ગેશોર્મના કુલસમૂહમાં મુખ્ય યોએલ, તથા તેના ભાઇઓ 130;Of the sons of Gershom; Joel the chief and his brethren an hundred and thirty:
8અલીસાફાનના કુલસમૂહમાંથી શમાયાની આગેવાની હેઠળ તેના 200 કુટુંબીઓ.Of the sons of Elizaphan; Shemaiah the chief, and his brethren two hundred:
9હેબ્રોનના કુલસમૂહમાંથી અલીએલની આગેવાની હેઠળ તેના 80 કુટુંબીઓ;Of the sons of Hebron; Eliel the chief, and his brethren fourscore:
10અને ઉઝઝીએલના કુલમાંથી આમ્મીનાદાબની આગેવાની હેઠળ તેના 112 કુટુંબીઓ આવ્યા.Of the sons of Uzziel; Amminadab the chief, and his brethren an hundred and twelve.
11ત્યારબાદ દાઉદે યાજકો સાદોક અને અબ્યાથારને તથા લેવી આગેવાનો ઉરીએલ, યસાયા, યોએલ, શમાયા, અલીએલ, અને આમ્મીનાદાબને તેડાવ્યા.And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the priests, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab,
12અને કહ્યું, “તમે લેવી વંશના કુલસમૂહોના આગેવાનો છો. તમે અને તમારા કુટુંબીઓ તમારી જાતને પવિત્ર કરીને ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવાના કોશને મેં તેને માટે તૈયાર કરેલા મંડપમાં લઇ આવજો.And said unto them, Ye are the chief of the fathers of the Levites: sanctify yourselves, both ye and your brethren, that ye may bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel unto the place that I have prepared for it.
13તમે પહેલી વખતે ઉપાડ્યો નહિ માટે યહોવા આપણા દેવ આપણા પર ક્રોધે ભરાયા, કારણ આપણે તેની સૂચના પ્રમાણે તેને પકડયો નહોતો.”For because ye did it not at the first, the LORD our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not after the due order.
14તેથી યાજકોએ અને લેવીઓએ ઇસ્રાએલના દેવ યહોવાના કોશને લઇ આવવા માટે પોતાની જાતને પવિત્ર કરી.So the priests and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel.
15યહોવાએ મૂસાને આજ્ઞા આપી હતી તે પ્રમાણે લેવીઓએ દેવના કોશના દાંડા પોતાના ખભા પર મૂકીને તેને ઊંચક્યો.And the children of the Levites bare the ark of God upon their shoulders with the staves thereon, as Moses commanded according to the word of the LORD.
16પછી દાઉદે લેવીઓના આગેવાનોને તેમના અમુક કુટુંબીઓની વીણા, સિતાર, અને ઝાંઝ વગાડી આનંદના ગીતો મોટે સ્વરે ગાવા માટે નિમણૂક કરવા કહ્યું.And David spake to the chief of the Levites to appoint their brethren to be the singers with instruments of music, psalteries and harps and cymbals, sounding, by lifting up the voice with joy.
17આથી લેવીઓએ નીચેના સંગીતકારોની નિંમણૂક કરી; હેમાન- યોએલનો પૂત્ર, આસાફ- બેરેખ્યાનો પુત્ર અને મરારીના કુટુંબમાંથી કૂશાયાનો પુત્ર એથાન.So the Levites appointed Heman the son of Joel; and of his brethren, Asaph the son of Berechiah; and of the sons of Merari their brethren, Ethan the son of Kushaiah;
18તથા તેઓના મદદનીશ તરીકે પસંદ થયેલાઓની યાદી: ઝખાર્યા, બની, યઅઝીએલ, શમીરામોથ, અહીએલ, ઉન્ની, અલીઆબ, બનાયા, માઅસેયા, માત્તિથ્યા, અલીફલેહૂ, મિકનેયા, અને દ્વારપાળો ઓબેદ-અદોમ ને યેઇએલ.And with them their brethren of the second degree, Zechariah, Ben, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, the porters.
19આ સંગીતકારોમાંથી હેમાન, આસાફ અને એથાને કાંસાનાં ઝાંઝ વગાડવાના હતા;So the singers, Heman, Asaph, and Ethan, were appointed to sound with cymbals of brass;
20ઝખાર્યા અઝીએલ, શમીરામોથ, યહીએલ, ઉન્ની, અલીઆબ, માઅસેયા અને બનાયાએ “આલામોથ”ના સૂર પ્રમાણે વીણા વગાડવાની હતી;And Zechariah, and Aziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Unni, and Eliab, and Maaseiah, and Benaiah, with psalteries on Alamoth;
21અને માત્તિથ્યા, અલીફલેહૂ મિકનેયા, ઓબેદ- અદોમ, યેહિએલ અને અઝાઝયાએ “સેંમીનીથ” ના સૂર પ્રમાણે સિતાર વગાડવાની હતી.And Mattithiah, and Elipheleh, and Mikneiah, and Obededom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps on the Sheminith to excel.
22લેવીઓનો એક આગેવાન કનાન્યા રાગરાગણીની તાલીમ આપતો હતો અને ગવૈયાનો ઉસ્તાદ હતો; તેથી તેને આ બધાનો ઉપરી નિમવામાં આવ્યો.And Chenaniah, chief of the Levites, was for song: he instructed about the song, because he was skillful.
23બેરખ્યા એલ્કાનાહને કોશના દ્વારપાળ તરીકે સેવા આપવાની હતી.And Berechiah and Elkanah were doorkeepers for the ark.
24અને યાજકો, શબાન્યા, યોશાફાટ, નથાનએલ, અમાસાઇ, ઝખાર્યા, બનાયાર અને અલીએઝેરને દેવના કોશ સમક્ષ ચાંદીના રણશિંગા વગાડવાના હતા અને ઓબેદ-અદોમ અને યહિયાએ પણ કોશના દ્વારપાળ તરીકે સેવા આપવાની હતી.And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the priests, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark.
25દાઉદ, ઇસ્રાએલના વડીલો અને સૈન્યના ઉચ્ચ અમલદારો ઓબેદ-અદોમના ઘરમાંથી યહોવાના કરાર કોશને બહુ આનંદ અને ઉલ્લાસ સાથે યરૂશાલેમ લઇ આવવા માટે ગયા.So David, and the elders of Israel, and the captains over thousands, went to bring up the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the house of Obededom with joy.
26યહોવાના કરારકોશ ઊંચકનારા લેવીઓને જ્યારે દેવે સહાય કરી ત્યારે તેઓએ તેને સાત બળદો તથા સાત ઘેટાનું અર્પણ કર્યું.And it came to pass, when God helped the Levites that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, that they offered seven bullocks and seven rams.
27કોશ ઊંચકનારા સર્વ લેવીઓ, ગાયકગણના સભ્યો અને ગાયકગણના આગેવાન કનાન્યાએ શણના ઝભ્ભા પહેર્યા હતા. દાઉદે પણ શણનો એફોદ પહેર્યો હતો.And David was clothed with a robe of fine linen, and all the Levites that bare the ark, and the singers, and Chenaniah the master of the song with the singers: David also had upon him an ephod of linen.
28આમ સર્વ ઇસ્રાએલી લોકો હર્ષનાદ કરતા, શરણાઇ રણશિંગડા, ઝાંઝ, સિતાર, વીણા વગાડી મોટી ગર્જના કરતા કરતા યહોવાના કરારકોશ લઇ આવ્યા.Thus all Israel brought up the ark of the covenant of the LORD with shouting, and with sound of the cornet, and with trumpets, and with cymbals, making a noise with psalteries and harps.
29જ્યારે કરારકોશ દાઉદનગરમાં લાવવામાં આવ્યો ત્યારે શાઉલની પુત્રી મીખાલે બારીમાંથી જોયું, તો રાજા દાઉદ આનંદમાં આવીને નાચતો હતો. અને એ જોઇને તેના દિલમાં રાજા પ્રત્યે ધૃણા થઇ.And it came to pass, as the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal, the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.
