וְאֵ֙לֶּה֙ Now these ʾēlle תּֽוֹלְדֹ֣ת the generations tôlĕdâ בְּנֵי of the sons bēn נֹ֔חַ of Noah, nōaḥ שֵׁ֖ם Shem, šēm חָ֣ם Ham, ḥām וָיָ֑פֶת and Japheth: yepet וַיִּוָּֽלְד֥וּ born yālad לָהֶ֛ם בָּנִ֖ים and unto them were sons bēn אַחַ֥ר after ʾaḥar הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ the flood. mabbûl

בְּנֵ֣י The sons bēn יֶ֔פֶת of Japheth; yepet גֹּ֣מֶר Gomer, gōmer וּמָג֔וֹג and Magog, māgôg וּמָדַ֖י and Madai, māday וְיָוָ֣ן and Javan, yāwān וְתֻבָ֑ל and Tubal, tûbal וּמֶ֖שֶׁךְ and Meshech, mešek וְתִירָֽס׃ and Tiras. tîrās

וּבְנֵ֖י And the sons bēn גֹּ֑מֶר of Gomer; gōmer אַשְׁכֲּנַ֥ז Ashkenaz, ʾaškĕnaz וְרִיפַ֖ת and Riphath, rîpat וְתֹֽגַרְמָֽה׃ and Togarmah. tôgarmâ

וּבְנֵ֥י And the sons bēn יָוָ֖ן of Javan; yāwān אֱלִישָׁ֣ה Elishah, ʾĕlîšâ וְתַרְשִׁ֑ישׁ and Tarshish, taršîš כִּתִּ֖ים Kittim, kittî וְדֹֽדָנִֽים׃ and Dodanim. dōdānîm

מֵ֠אֵלֶּה By these ʾēlle נִפְרְד֞וּ divided in pārad אִיֵּ֤י were the isles ʾî הַגּוֹיִם֙ of the Gentiles gôy בְּאַרְצֹתָ֔ם their lands; ʾereṣ אִ֖ישׁ every one ʾîš לִלְשֹׁנ֑וֹ after his tongue, lāšôn לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם after their families, mišpāḥâ בְּגֽוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ in their nations. gôy

וּבְנֵ֖י And the sons bēn חָ֑ם of Ham; ḥām כּ֥וּשׁ Cush, kûš וּמִצְרַ֖יִם and Mizraim, miṣrayim וּפ֥וּט and Phut, pûṭ וּכְנָֽעַן׃ and Canaan. kĕnaʿan

וּבְנֵ֣י And the sons bēn כ֔וּשׁ of Cush; kûš סְבָא֙ Seba, sĕbāʾ וַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה and Havilah, ḥăwîlâ וְסַבְתָּ֥ה and Sabtah, sabtāʾ וְרַעְמָ֖ה and Raamah, raʿmâ וְסַבְתְּכָ֑א and Sabtecha: sabtĕkāʾ וּבְנֵ֥י and the sons bēn רַעְמָ֖ה of Raamah; raʿmâ שְׁבָ֥א Sheba, šĕbāʾ וּדְדָֽן׃ and Dedan. dĕdān

וְכ֖וּשׁ And Cush kûš יָלַ֣ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt נִמְרֹ֑ד Nimrod: nimrôd ה֣וּא he hûʾ הֵחֵ֔ל began ḥālal לִֽהְי֥וֹת to be hāyâ גִּבֹּ֖ר a mighty one gibbôr בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ in the earth. ʾereṣ

הֽוּא He hûʾ הָיָ֥ה was hāyâ גִבֹּֽר a mighty gibbôr צַ֖יִד hunter ṣayid לִפְנֵ֣י before pānîm יְהוָ֑ה the Lord: yĕhōwâ עַל ʿal כֵּן֙ wherefore kēn יֵֽאָמַ֔ר it is said, ʾāmar כְּנִמְרֹ֛ד Even as Nimrod nimrôd גִּבּ֥וֹר the mighty gibbôr צַ֖יִד hunter ṣayid לִפְנֵ֥י before pānîm יְהוָֽה׃ the Lord. yĕhōwâ

וַתְּהִ֨י was hāyâ רֵאשִׁ֤ית And the beginning rēʾšît מַמְלַכְתּוֹ֙ of his kingdom mamlākâ בָּבֶ֔ל Babel, bābel וְאֶ֖רֶךְ and Erech, ʾerek וְאַכַּ֣ד and Accad, ʾakkad וְכַלְנֵ֑ה and Calneh, kalne בְּאֶ֖רֶץ in the land ʾereṣ שִׁנְעָֽר׃ of Shinar. šinʿār

מִן Out of min הָאָ֥רֶץ land ʾereṣ הַהִ֖וא that hûʾ יָצָ֣א went forth yāṣāʾ אַשּׁ֑וּר Asshur, ʾaššûr וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ and builded bānâ אֶת ʾēt נִ֣ינְוֵ֔ה Nineveh, nînĕwē וְאֶת ʾēt רְחֹבֹ֥ת Rehoboth, rĕḥōbôt עִ֖יר and the city ʿîr וְאֶת ʾēt כָּֽלַח׃ and Calah, kelaḥ

וְֽאֶת ʾēt רֶ֔סֶן And Resen resen בֵּ֥ין between bên נִֽינְוֵ֖ה Nineveh nînĕwē וּבֵ֣ין bên כָּ֑לַח and Calah: kelaḥ הִ֖וא the same hûʾ הָעִ֥יר city. ʿîr הַגְּדֹלָֽה׃ a great gādôl

וּמִצְרַ֡יִם And Mizraim miṣrayim יָלַ֞ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt לוּדִ֧ים Ludim, lûdî וְאֶת ʾēt עֲנָמִ֛ים and Anamim, ʿănāmîm וְאֶת ʾēt לְהָבִ֖ים and Lehabim, lĕhābîm וְאֶת ʾēt נַפְתֻּחִֽים׃ and Naphtuhim, naptuḥîm

וְֽאֶת ʾēt פַּתְרֻסִ֞ים And Pathrusim, patrusî וְאֶת ʾēt כַּסְלֻחִ֗ים and Casluhim, kasluḥîm אֲשֶׁ֨ר ʾăšer יָֽצְא֥וּ came yāṣāʾ מִשָּׁ֛ם (out of whom šām פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים Philistim,) pĕlištî וְאֶת ʾēt כַּפְתֹּרִֽים׃ and Caphtorim. kaptōrî

וּכְנַ֗עַן And Canaan kĕnaʿan יָלַ֛ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt צִידֹ֥ן Sidon ṣîdôn בְּכֹר֖וֹ his firstborn, bĕkôr וְאֶת ʾēt חֵֽת׃ and Heth, ḥēt

וְאֶת ʾēt הַיְבוּסִי֙ And the Jebusite, yĕbûsî וְאֶת ʾēt הָ֣אֱמֹרִ֔י and the Amorite, ʾĕmōrî וְאֵ֖ת ʾēt הַגִּרְגָּשִֽׁי׃ and the Girgasite, girgāšî

וְאֶת ʾēt הַֽחִוִּ֥י And the Hivite, ḥiwwî וְאֶת ʾēt הַֽעַרְקִ֖י and the Arkite, ʿarqî וְאֶת ʾēt הַסִּינִֽי׃ and the Sinite, sînî

וְאֶת ʾēt הָֽאַרְוָדִ֥י And the Arvadite, ʾarwādî וְאֶת ʾēt הַצְּמָרִ֖י and the Zemarite, ṣĕmārî וְאֶת ʾēt הַֽחֲמָתִ֑י and the Hamathite: ḥămātî וְאַחַ֣ר and afterward ʾaḥar נָפֹ֔צוּ spread abroad. pûṣ מִשְׁפְּח֖וֹת were the families mišpāḥâ הַֽכְּנַעֲנִֽי׃ of the Canaanites kĕnaʿanî

וַיְהִ֞י was hāyâ גְּב֤וּל And the border gĕbûl הַֽכְּנַעֲנִי֙ of the Canaanites kĕnaʿanî מִצִּידֹ֔ן from Sidon, ṣîdôn בֹּֽאֲכָ֥ה as thou comest bôʾ גְרָ֖רָה to Gerar, gĕrār עַד unto ʿad עַזָּ֑ה Gaza; ʿazzâ בֹּֽאֲכָ֞ה as thou goest, bôʾ סְדֹ֧מָה unto Sodom, sĕdōm וַֽעֲמֹרָ֛ה and Gomorrah, ʿămōrâ וְאַדְמָ֥ה and Admah, ʾadmâ וּצְבֹיִ֖ם and Zeboim, ṣĕbōʾîm עַד even unto ʿad לָֽשַׁע׃ Lasha. lešaʿ

אֵ֣לֶּה These ʾēlle בְנֵי the sons bēn חָ֔ם of Ham, ḥām לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם after their families, mišpāḥâ לִלְשֹֽׁנֹתָ֑ם after their tongues, lāšôn בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם in their countries, ʾereṣ בְּגֽוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ in their nations. gôy

וּלְשֵׁ֥ם Unto Shem šēm יֻלַּ֖ד were born. yālad גַּם even gam ה֑וּא to him hûʾ אֲבִי֙ also, the father ʾāb כָּל of all kōl בְּנֵי the children bēn עֵ֔בֶר of Eber, ʿēbēr אֲחִ֖י the brother ʾāḥ יֶ֥פֶת of Japheth yepet הַגָּדֽוֹל׃ the elder, gādôl

בְּנֵ֥י The children bēn שֵׁ֖ם of Shem; šēm עֵילָ֣ם Elam, ʿêlām וְאַשּׁ֑וּר and Asshur, ʾaššûr וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד and Arphaxad, ʾarpakšad וְל֥וּד and Lud, lûd וַֽאֲרָֽם׃ and Aram. ʾărām

וּבְנֵ֖י And the children bēn אֲרָ֑ם of Aram; ʾărām ע֥וּץ Uz, ʿûṣ וְח֖וּל and Hul, ḥûl וְגֶ֥תֶר and Gether, geter וָמַֽשׁ׃ and Mash. maš

וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁ֖ד And Arphaxad ʾarpakšad יָלַ֣ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt שָׁ֑לַח Salah; šelaḥ וְשֶׁ֖לַח and Salah šelaḥ יָלַ֥ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt עֵֽבֶר׃ Eber. ʿēbēr

וּלְעֵ֥בֶר And unto Eber ʿēbēr יֻלַּ֖ד were born yālad שְׁנֵ֣י two šĕnayim בָנִ֑ים sons: bēn שֵׁ֣ם the name šēm הָֽאֶחָ֞ד of one ʾeḥād פֶּ֗לֶג Peleg; peleg כִּ֤י for kî בְיָמָיו֙ in his days yôm נִפְלְגָ֣ה divided; pālag הָאָ֔רֶץ was the earth ʾereṣ וְשֵׁ֥ם name šēm אָחִ֖יו and his brother's ʾāḥ יָקְטָֽן׃ Joktan. yoqṭān

וְיָקְטָ֣ן And Joktan yoqṭān יָלַ֔ד begat yālad אֶת ʾēt אַלְמוֹדָ֖ד Almodad, ʾalmôdād וְאֶת ʾēt שָׁ֑לֶף and Sheleph, šelep וְאֶת ʾēt חֲצַרְמָ֖וֶת and Hazarmaveth, ḥăṣarmāwet וְאֶת ʾēt יָֽרַח׃ and Jerah, yeraḥ

וְאֶת ʾēt הֲדוֹרָ֥ם And Hadoram, hădôrām וְאֶת ʾēt אוּזָ֖ל and Uzal, ʾûzāl וְאֶת ʾēt דִּקְלָֽה׃ and Diklah, diqlâ

וְאֶת ʾēt עוֹבָ֥ל And Obal, ʿôbāl וְאֶת ʾēt אֲבִֽימָאֵ֖ל and Abimael, ʾăbîmāʾēl וְאֶת ʾēt שְׁבָֽא׃ and Sheba, šĕbāʾ

וְאֶת ʾēt אוֹפִ֥ר And Ophir, ʾôpîr וְאֶת ʾēt חֲוִילָ֖ה and Havilah, ḥăwîlâ וְאֶת ʾēt יוֹבָ֑ב and Jobab: yôbāb כָּל all kōl אֵ֖לֶּה these ʾēlle בְּנֵ֥י the sons bēn יָקְטָֽן׃ of Joktan. yoqṭān

וַיְהִ֥י was hāyâ מֽוֹשָׁבָ֖ם And their dwelling môšāb מִמֵּשָׁ֑א from Mesha, mēšāʾ בֹּֽאֲכָ֥ה as thou goest bôʾ סְפָ֖רָה unto Sephar sĕpār הַ֥ר a mount har הַקֶּֽדֶם׃ of the east. qedem

אֵ֣לֶּה These ʾēlle בְנֵי the sons bēn שֵׁ֔ם of Shem, šēm לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֖ם after their families, mišpāḥâ לִלְשֹֽׁנֹתָ֑ם after their tongues, lāšôn בְּאַרְצֹתָ֖ם in their lands, ʾereṣ לְגֽוֹיֵהֶֽם׃ after their nations. gôy

אֵ֣לֶּה These ʾēlle מִשְׁפְּחֹ֧ת the families mišpāḥâ בְּנֵי of the sons bēn נֹ֛חַ of Noah, nōaḥ לְתֽוֹלְדֹתָ֖ם after their generations, tôlĕdâ בְּגֽוֹיֵהֶ֑ם in their nations: gôy וּמֵאֵ֜לֶּה and by these ʾēlle נִפְרְד֧וּ divided pārad הַגּוֹיִ֛ם were the nations gôy בָּאָ֖רֶץ in the earth ʾereṣ אַחַ֥ר after ʾaḥar הַמַּבּֽוּל׃ the flood. mabbûl
