τοῦτο This touto μόνον only monon θέλω would thelō μαθεῖν I learn manthanō ἀφ' of apo ὑμῶν· you, hymōn ἐξ by ek ἔργων the works ergon νόμου of the law, nomos τὸ the ho πνεῦμα Spirit pneuma ἐλάβετε Received ye lambanō ἢ or ē ἐξ by ek ἀκοῆς the hearing akoē πίστεως of faith? pistis

οὕτως so houtō ἀνόητοί foolish? anoētos ἐστε Are ye este ἐναρξάμενοι having begun enarchomai πνεύματι in the Spirit, pneuma νῦν now nyn σαρκὶ by the flesh? sarx ἐπιτελεῖσθε are ye made perfect epiteleō

τοσαῦτα so many things tosoutos ἐπάθετε Have ye suffered paschō εἰκῇ in vain? eikē εἴγε if eige καὶ yet kai εἰκῇ in vain. eikē

ὁ that ho οὖν therefore oun ἐπιχορηγῶν He ministereth epichorēgeō ὑμῖν to you hymin τὸ the ho πνεῦμα Spirit, pneuma καὶ and kai ἐνεργῶν worketh energeō δυνάμεις miracles dynamis ἐν among en ὑμῖν you, hymin ἐξ by ek ἔργων the works ergon νόμου of the law, nomos ἢ or ē ἐξ by ek ἀκοῆς the hearing akoē πίστεως of faith? pistis

καθὼς Even as kathōs Ἀβραὰμ Abraham abraam ἐπίστευσεν believed pisteuō τῷ ho θεῷ God, theos καὶ and kai ἐλογίσθη it was accounted logizomai αὐτῷ to him autos εἰς for eis δικαιοσύνην· righteousness. dikaiosynē

Γινώσκετε Know ye ginōskō ἄρα therefore ara ὅτι that hoti οἱ they which are ho ἐκ of ek πίστεως faith, pistis οὗτοι the same houtos εἰσιν are eisi υἱοί the children of huios Ἀβραάμ Abraham. abraam

Ἀδελφοί Brethren, adelphos κατὰ after the manner of kata ἄνθρωπον men; anthrōpos λέγω· I speak legō ὅμως Though but homōs ἀνθρώπου a man's anthrōpos κεκυρωμένην yet confirmed, kyroō διαθήκην covenant, diathēkē οὐδεὶς no man oudeis ἀθετεῖ disannulleth, atheteō ἢ or ē ἐπιδιατάσσεται addeth thereto. epidiatassomai

Ὁ the ho οὖν then oun νόμος law nomos κατὰ against kata τῶν the ho ἐπαγγελιῶν promises epangelia τοῦ ho θεοῦ of God? theos μὴ mē γένοιτο God forbid: ginomai εἰ if ei γὰρ for gar ἐδόθη there had been given didōmi νόμος a law nomos ὁ which ho δυνάμενος could have dynamai ζῳοποιῆσαι given life, zōopoieō ὄντως verily ontōs ἂν an ἐκ by ek νόμου the law. nomos ἦν should have been ēn ἡ ho δικαιοσύνη· righteousness dikaiosynē

Πρὸ before pro τοῦ ho δὲ But de ἐλθεῖν came, erchomai τὴν the ho πίστιν faith pistis ὑπὸ under hypo νόμον the law, nomos ἐφρουρούμεθα we were kept phroureō συγκεκλεισμένοι shut up synkleiō εἰς unto eis τὴν which ho μέλλουσαν should afterwards mellō πίστιν faith pistis ἀποκαλυφθῆναι be revealed. apokalyptō

ὥστε Wherefore hōste ὁ the ho νόμος law nomos παιδαγωγὸς schoolmaster paidagōgos ἡμῶν our hēmōn γέγονεν was ginomai εἰς unto eis Χριστόν Christ, christos ἵνα that hina ἐκ by ek πίστεως faith. pistis δικαιωθῶμεν· we might be justified dikaioō

ἐλθούσης is come, erchomai δὲ But de τῆς after that ho πίστεως faith pistis οὐκέτι no longer ouketi ὑπὸ under hypo παιδαγωγόν a schoolmaster. paidagōgos ἐσμεν we are esmen

Πάντες all pas γὰρ For gar υἱοὶ the children huios θεοῦ of God theos ἐστε ye are este διὰ by dia τῆς ho πίστεως faith pistis ἐν in en Χριστῷ Christ christos Ἰησοῦ· Jesus. iēsous

οὐκ neither ou ἔνι There is eni Ἰουδαῖος Jew ioudaios οὐδὲ nor oude Ἕλλην Greek, hellēn οὐκ neither ou ἔνι there is eni δοῦλος bond doulos οὐδὲ nor oude ἐλεύθερος free, eleutheros οὐκ neither ou ἔνι there is eni ἄρσεν male arrhēn καὶ nor kai θῆλυ· female: thēlys πάντες all pas γὰρ for gar ὑμεῖς ye hymeis εἷς one heis ἐστε are este ἐν in en Χριστῷ Christ christos Ἰησοῦ Jesus. iēsous
