ஆசகேலின் குமாரன் யோனத்தானும், திக்காவின் குமாரன் யக்சியாவுமாத்திரம் அதை விசாரிக்கும்படிக்கு வைக்கப்பட்டார்கள்; மெசுல்லாமும், சப்பேதா என்னும் லேவியனும் அவர்களுக்கு உதவியாயிருந்தார்கள்.
