இதோ, ஆலயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே சுற்றிலும் ஒரு மதில் இருந்தது; அந்தப் புருஷன் கையிலே ஆறுமுழ நீழமான ஒரு அளவுகோல் இருந்தது; ஒவ்வொரு முழமும் நமது கைமுழத்திலும் நாலுவிரற்கடை அதிகமானது; அவர் அந்த மதிலை அளந்தார்; அகலம் ஒரு கோலாகவும் உயரம் ஒரு கோலாகவும் இருந்தது.

நான் ஆலயத்தைச் சுற்றிலும் கட்டப்பட்ட ஒரு சுவரைக் கண்டேன். அந்த மனிதனின் கையில் ஒரு அளவுகோல் இருந்தது, அது ஆறு முழ நீளமுள்ளதாக (10’6’) இருந்தது. எனவே அம்மனிதன் அச்சுவரின் கனத்தை அளந்தான். அது ஒரு அளவுகோலின் (10’6”) கனமுள்ளதாக இருந்தது. அம்மனிதன் சுவரின் உயரத்தை அளந்தான். அது ஒரு அளவுகோல் உயரமுடையதாக (10’6”) இருந்தது.
