  3. וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ And say ʾāmar לְצ֗וֹר unto Tyrus, ṣōr הַיֹּשֶׁ֙בֶת֙י O thou that art situate yāšab עַל at ʿal מְבוֹאֹ֣ת the entry mĕbôʾâ יָ֔ם of the sea, yām רֹכֶ֙לֶת֙ a merchant rākal הָֽעַמִּ֔ים of the people ʿam אֶל for ʾēl אִיִּ֖ים isles, ʾî רַבִּ֑ים many rab כֹּ֤ה Thus אָמַר֙ saith ʾāmar אֲדֹנָ֣י the Lord ʾădōnāy יְהוִ֔ה God; yĕhōwâ צ֕וֹר O Tyrus, ṣōr אַ֣תְּ thou ʾattâ אָמַ֔רְתְּ hast said, ʾāmar אֲנִ֖י I ʾănî כְּלִ֥ילַת of perfect kālîl יֹֽפִי׃ beauty. yŏpî
  4. בְּלֵ֥ב in the midst lēb יַמִּ֖ים of the seas, yām גְּבוּלָ֑יִךְ Thy borders gĕbûl בֹּנַ֕יִךְ thy builders bānâ כָּלְל֖וּ have perfected kālal יָפְיֵֽךְ׃ thy beauty. yŏpî
  5. בְּרוֹשִׁ֤ים of fir trees bĕrôš מִשְּׂנִיר֙ of Senir: šĕnîr בָּ֣נוּ They have made bānâ לָ֔ךְ אֵ֖ת ʾēt כָּל all kōl לֻֽחֹתָ֑יִם thy boards lûaḥ אֶ֤רֶז cedars ʾerez מִלְּבָנוֹן֙ from Lebanon lĕbānôn לָקָ֔חוּ they have taken lāqaḥ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת to make ʿāśâ תֹּ֖רֶן masts tōren עָלָֽיִךְ׃ for thee. ʿal
  6. אַלּוֹנִים֙ the oaks ʾallôn מִבָּ֔שָׁן of Bashan bāšān עָשׂ֖וּ have they made ʿāśâ מִשּׁוֹטָ֑יִךְ thine oars; māšôṭ קַרְשֵׁ֤ךְ thy benches qereš עָֽשׂוּ have made ʿāśâ שֵׁן֙ ivory, šēn בַּת the company bat אֲשֻׁרִ֔ים of the Ashurites ʾăšur מֵאִיֵּ֖י out of the isles ʾî כִּתִּיִּֽם׃ of Chittim. kittî
  7. שֵׁשׁ Fine linen šēš בְּרִקְמָ֤ה with broidered work riqmâ מִמִּצְרַ֙יִם֙ from Egypt miṣrayim הָיָ֣ה was hāyâ מִפְרָשֵׂ֔ךְ that which thou spreadest forth miproś לִהְי֥וֹת to be hāyâ לָ֖ךְ לְנֵ֑ס thy sail; nēs תְּכֵ֧לֶת blue tĕkēlet וְאַרְגָּמָ֛ן and purple ʾargāmān מֵאִיֵּ֥י from the isles ʾî אֱלִישָׁ֖ה of Elishah ʾĕlîšâ הָיָ֥ה was hāyâ מְכַסֵּֽךְ׃ that which covered thee. mĕkasse
  8. יֹשְׁבֵ֤י The inhabitants yāšab צִידוֹן֙ of Zidon ṣîdôn וְאַרְוַ֔ד and Arvad ʾarwad הָי֥וּ were hāyâ שָׁטִ֖ים thy mariners: šûṭ לָ֑ךְ חֲכָמַ֤יִךְ thy wise ḥākām צוֹר֙ O Tyrus, ṣōr הָ֣יוּ were hāyâ בָ֔ךְ הֵ֖מָּה hēm חֹבְלָֽיִךְ׃ in thee, were thy pilots. ḥōbēl
  9. זִקְנֵ֨י The ancients zāqēn גְבַ֤ל of Gebal gĕbal וַחֲכָמֶ֙יהָ֙ and the wise ḥākām הָ֣יוּ thereof were hāyâ בָ֔ךְ מַחֲזִיקֵ֖י ḥāzaq בִּדְקֵ֑ךְ in thee thy calkers: bedeq כָּל all kōl אֳנִיּ֨וֹת the ships ʾŏniyyâ הַיָּ֤ם of the sea yām וּמַלָּֽחֵיהֶם֙ with their mariners mallāḥ הָ֣יוּ were hāyâ בָ֔ךְ לַעֲרֹ֖ב in thee to occupy ʿārab מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃ thy merchandise. maʿărāb
  10. פָּרַ֨ס They of Persia pāras וְל֤וּד and of Lud lûd וּפוּט֙ and of Phut pûṭ הָי֣וּ were hāyâ בְחֵילֵ֔ךְ in thine army, ḥayil אַנְשֵׁ֖י thy men ʾîš מִלְחַמְתֵּ֑ךְ of war: milḥāmâ מָגֵ֤ן the shield māgēn וְכוֹבַע֙ and helmet kôbaʿ תִּלּוּ they hanged tālâ בָ֔ךְ הֵ֖מָּה in thee; they hēm נָתְנ֥וּ set forth nātan הֲדָרֵֽךְ׃ thy comeliness. hādār
  11. בְּנֵ֧י The men bēn אַרְוַ֣ד of Arvad ʾarwad וְחֵילֵ֗ךְ with thine army ḥayil עַל upon ʿal חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ thy walls ḥômâ סָבִ֔יב round about, sābîb וְגַ֨מָּדִ֔ים and the Gammadims gammād בְּמִגְדְּלוֹתַ֖יִךְ in thy towers: migdāl הָי֑וּ were hāyâ שִׁלְטֵיהֶ֞ם their shields šeleṭ תִּלּ֤וּ they hanged tālâ עַל upon ʿal חוֹמוֹתַ֙יִךְ֙ thy walls ḥômâ סָבִ֔יב round about; sābîb הֵ֖מָּה they hēm כָּלְל֥וּ perfect. kālal יָפְיֵֽךְ׃ have made thy beauty yŏpî
  12. תַּרְשִׁ֥ישׁ Tarshish taršîš סֹחַרְתֵּ֖ךְ thy merchant sāḥar מֵרֹ֣ב by reason of the multitude rōb כָּל of all kōl ה֑וֹן riches; hôn בְּכֶ֤סֶף with silver, kesep בַּרְזֶל֙ iron, barzel בְּדִ֣יל tin, bĕdîl וְעוֹפֶ֔רֶת and lead, ʿôperet נָתְנ֖וּ they traded nātan עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃ in thy fairs. ʿizzābôn
  13. יָוָ֤ן Javan, yāwān תֻּבַל֙ Tubal, tûbal וָמֶ֔שֶׁךְ and Meshech, mešek הֵ֖מָּה they hēm רֹֽכְלָ֑יִךְ thy merchants: rākal בְּנֶ֤פֶשׁ the persons nepeš אָדָם֙ of men ʾādām וּכְלֵ֣י and vessels kĕlî נְחֹ֔שֶׁת of brass nĕḥōšet נָתְנ֖וּ they traded nātan מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃ in thy market. maʿărāb
  14. מִבֵּ֖ית They of the house bayit תּוֹגַרְמָ֑ה of Togarmah tôgarmâ סוּסִ֤ים with horses sûs וּפָֽרָשִׁים֙ and horsemen pāroš וּפְרָדִ֔ים and mules. pered נָתְנ֖וּ traded nātan עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃ in thy fairs ʿizzābôn
  15. בְּנֵ֤י The men bēn דְדָן֙ of Dedan dĕdān רֹֽכְלַ֔יִךְ thy merchants; rākal אִיִּ֥ים isles ʾî רַבִּ֖ים many rab סְחֹרַ֣ת the merchandise sĕḥōrâ יָדֵ֑ךְ of thine hand: yād קַרְנ֥וֹת horns qeren שֵׁן֙ of ivory šēn וְהָובְנִ֔ים and ebony. hōben הֵשִׁ֖יבוּ they brought šûb אֶשְׁכָּרֵֽךְ׃ thee a present ʾeškār
  16. אֲרָ֥ם Syria ʾărām סֹחַרְתֵּ֖ךְ thy merchant sāḥar מֵרֹ֣ב by reason of the multitude rōb מַעֲשָׂ֑יִךְ of the wares of thy making: maʿăśe בְּ֠נֹפֶךְ with emeralds, nōpek אַרְגָּמָ֨ן purple, ʾargāmān וְרִקְמָ֤ה and broidered work, riqmâ וּבוּץ֙ and fine linen, bûṣ וְרָאמֹ֣ת and coral, rāʾmâ וְכַדְכֹּ֔ד and agate. kadkōd נָתְנ֖וּ they occupied nātan בְּעִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃ in thy fairs ʿizzābôn
  17. יְהוּדָה֙ Judah, yĕhûdâ וְאֶ֣רֶץ and the land ʾereṣ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל of Israel, yiśrāʾēl הֵ֖מָּה they hēm רֹכְלָ֑יִךְ thy merchants: rākal בְּחִטֵּ֣י wheat ḥiṭṭâ מִ֠נִּית of Minnith, minnît וּפַנַּ֨ג and Pannag, pannag וּדְבַ֤שׁ and honey, dĕbaš וָשֶׁ֙מֶן֙ and oil, šemen וָצֹ֔רִי and balm. ṣĕrî נָתְנ֖וּ they traded nātan מַעֲרָבֵֽךְ׃ in thy market maʿărāb
  18. דַּמֶּ֧שֶׂק Damascus dammeśeq סֹחַרְתֵּ֛ךְ thy merchant sāḥar בְּרֹ֥ב in the multitude rōb מַעֲשַׂ֖יִךְ of the wares of thy making, maʿăśe מֵרֹ֣ב for the multitude rōb כָּל of all kōl ה֑וֹן riches; hôn בְּיֵ֥ין in the wine yayin חֶלְבּ֖וֹן of Helbon, ḥelbôn וְצֶ֥מֶר wool. ṣemer צָֽחַר׃ and white ṣaḥar
  19. וְדָ֤ן Dan also wĕdān וְיָוָן֙ and Javan yāwān מְאוּזָּ֔ל going to and fro ʾāzal בְּעִזְבוֹנַ֖יִךְ in thy fairs: ʿizzābôn נָתָ֑נּוּ occupied nātan בַּרְזֶ֤ל iron, barzel עָשׁוֹת֙ bright ʿāšôt קִדָּ֣ה cassia, qiddâ וְקָנֶ֔ה and calamus, qāne בְּמַעֲרָבֵ֖ךְ in thy market. maʿărāb הָיָֽה׃ were hāyâ
  20. דְּדָן֙ Dedan dĕdān רֹֽכַלְתֵּ֔ךְ thy merchant rākal בְבִגְדֵי clothes beged חֹ֖פֶשׁ in precious ḥōpeš לְרִכְבָּֽה׃ for chariots. rikbâ
  21. עֲרַב֙ Arabia, ʿărāb וְכָל and all kōl נְשִׂיאֵ֣י the princes nāśîʾ קֵדָ֔ר of Kedar, qēdār הֵ֖מָּה they hēm סֹחֲרֵ֣י occupied with sāḥar יָדֵ֑ךְ thee yād בְּכָרִ֤ים in lambs, kar וְאֵילִים֙ and rams, ʾayil וְעַתּוּדִ֔ים and goats: ʿattûd בָּ֖ם סֹחֲרָֽיִךְ׃ in these thy merchants. sāḥar
  22. רֹכְלֵ֤י The merchants rākal שְׁבָא֙ of Sheba šĕbāʾ וְרַעְמָ֔ה and Raamah, raʿmâ הֵ֖מָּה they hēm רֹכְלָ֑יִךְ thy merchants: rākal בְּרֹ֨אשׁ with chief rōš כָּל of all kōl בֹּ֜שֶׂם spices, beśem וּבְכָל and with all kōl אֶ֤בֶן stones, ʾeben יְקָרָה֙ precious yāqār וְזָהָ֔ב and gold. zāhāb נָתְנ֖וּ they occupied nātan עִזְבוֹנָֽיִךְ׃ in thy fairs ʿizzābôn
  23. חָרָ֤ן Haran, ḥārān וְכַנֵּה֙ and Canneh, kanne וָעֶ֔דֶן and Eden, ʿeden רֹכְלֵ֖י the merchants rākal שְׁבָ֑א of Sheba, šĕbāʾ אַשּׁ֖וּר Asshur, ʾaššûr כִּלְמַ֥ד Chilmad, kilmād רֹכַלְתֵּֽךְ׃ thy merchants. rākal
  24. הֵ֤מָּה These hēm רֹכְלַ֙יִךְ֙ thy merchants rākal בְּמַכְלֻלִ֔ים in all sorts miklul בִּגְלוֹמֵי֙ clothes, gĕlôm תְּכֵ֣לֶת in blue tĕkēlet וְרִקְמָ֔ה and broidered work, riqmâ וּבְגִנְזֵ֖י and in chests genez בְּרֹמִ֑ים of rich apparel, bĕrôm בַּחֲבָלִ֧ים with cords, ḥebel חֲבֻשִׁ֛ים bound ḥābaš וַאֲרֻזִ֖ים and made of cedar, ʾāraz בְּמַרְכֻלְתֵּֽךְ׃ among thy merchandise. markōlet
  25. אֳנִיּ֣וֹת The ships ʾŏniyyâ תַּרְשִׁ֔ישׁ of Tarshish taršîš שָׁרוֹתַ֖יִךְ did sing šûr מַעֲרָבֵ֑ךְ of thee in thy market: maʿărāb וַתִּמָּלְאִ֧י and thou wast replenished, mālēʾ וַֽתִּכְבְּדִ֛י glorious kābad מְאֹ֖ד and made very mĕʾōd בְּלֵ֥ב in the midst lēb יַמִּֽים׃ of the seas. yām

  27. הוֹנֵךְ֙ Thy riches, hôn וְעִזְבוֹנַ֔יִךְ and thy fairs, ʿizzābôn מַעֲרָבֵ֕ךְ thy merchandise, maʿărāb מַלָּחַ֖יִךְ thy mariners, mallāḥ וְחֹבְלָ֑יִךְ and thy pilots, ḥōbēl מַחֲזִיקֵ֣י ḥāzaq בִדְקֵ֣ך thy calkers, bedeq וְֽעֹרְבֵ֣י and the occupiers ʿārab מַ֠עֲרָבֵךְ of thy merchandise, maʿărāb וְכָל and all kōl אַנְשֵׁ֨י thy men ʾîš מִלְחַמְתֵּ֜ךְ of war, milḥāmâ אֲשֶׁר that ʾăšer בָּ֗ךְ וּבְכָל in thee, and in all kōl קְהָלֵךְ֙ thy company qāhāl אֲשֶׁ֣ר which ʾăšer בְּתוֹכֵ֔ךְ in the midst tāwek יִפְּלוּ֙ of thee, shall fall nāpal בְּלֵ֣ב into the midst lēb יַמִּ֔ים of the seas yām בְּי֖וֹם in the day yôm מַפַּלְתֵּֽךְ׃ of thy ruin. mappelet

  30. וְהִשְׁמִ֤יעוּ to be heard šāmaʿ עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ against ʿal בְּקוֹלָ֔ם And shall cause their voice qôl וְיִזְעֲק֖וּ thee, and shall cry zāʿaq מָרָ֑ה bitterly, mar וְיַעֲל֤וּ and shall cast up ʿālâ עָֽפָר֙ dust ʿāpār עַל upon ʿal רָ֣אשֵׁיהֶ֔ם their heads, rōš בָּאֵ֖פֶר in the ashes: ʾēper יִתְפַּלָּֽשׁוּ׃ they shall wallow themselves pālaš
  31. וְהִקְרִ֤יחוּ bald qāraḥ אֵלַ֙יִךְ֙ for ʾēl קָרְחָ֔ה And they shall make themselves utterly qorḥâ וְחָגְר֖וּ thee, and gird ḥāgar שַׂקִּ֑ים them with sackcloth, śaq וּבָכ֥וּ and they shall weep bākâ אֵלַ֛יִךְ for ʾēl בְּמַר thee with bitterness mar נֶ֖פֶשׁ of heart nepeš מִסְפֵּ֥ד wailing. mispēd מָֽר׃ bitter mar
  32. וְנָשְׂא֨וּ they shall take up nāśāʾ אֵלַ֤יִךְ for ʾēl בְּנִיהֶם֙ And in their wailing קִינָ֔ה a lamentation qînâ וְקוֹנְנ֖וּ thee, and lament qûn עָלָ֑יִךְ over ʿal מִ֣י thee, What כְצ֔וֹר like Tyrus, ṣōr כְּדֻמָ֖ה like the destroyed dummâ בְּת֥וֹךְ in the midst tāwek הַיָּֽם׃ of the sea? yām
  33. בְּצֵ֤את went forth yāṣāʾ עִזְבוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙ When thy wares ʿizzābôn מִיַּמִּ֔ים out of the seas, yām הִשְׂבַּ֖עַתְּ thou filledst śābaʿ עַמִּ֣ים people; ʿam רַבִּ֑ים many rab בְּרֹ֤ב with the multitude rōb הוֹנַ֙יִךְ֙ of thy riches hôn וּמַ֣עֲרָבַ֔יִךְ and of thy merchandise. maʿărāb הֶעֱשַׁ֖רְתְּ thou didst enrich ʿāšar מַלְכֵי the kings melek אָֽרֶץ׃ of the earth ʾereṣ
  34. עֵ֛ת In the time ʿēt נִשְׁבֶּ֥רֶת thou shalt be broken šābar מִיַּמִּ֖ים by the seas yām בְּמַֽעֲמַקֵּי in the depths maʿămāq מָ֑יִם of the waters mayim מַעֲרָבֵ֥ךְ thy merchandise maʿărāb וְכָל and all kōl קְהָלֵ֖ךְ thy company qāhāl בְּתוֹכֵ֥ךְ in the midst tāwek נָפָֽלוּ׃ of thee shall fall. nāpal
  35. כֹּ֚ל All kōl יֹשְׁבֵ֣י the inhabitants yāšab הָאִיִּ֔ים of the isles ʾî שָׁמְמ֖וּ shall be astonished šāmēm עָלָ֑יִךְ at ʿal וּמַלְכֵיהֶם֙ thee, and their kings melek שָׂ֣עֲרוּ afraid, śāʿar שַׂ֔עַר shall be sore śaʿar רָעֲמ֖וּ they shall be troubled rāʿam פָּנִֽים׃ in countenance. pānîm
  36. סֹֽחֲרִים֙ The merchants sāḥar בָּ֣עַמִּ֔ים among the people ʿam שָׁרְק֖וּ shall hiss šāraq עָלָ֑יִךְ at ʿal בַּלָּה֣וֹת a terror, ballāhâ הָיִ֔ית thee; thou shalt be hāyâ וְאֵינֵ֖ךְ and never ʾayin עַד any more. ʿad עוֹלָֽם׃ ʿôlām
