பின்பு, அதை ஓமரால் அளந்தார்கள்: மிகுதியாய்ச் சேர்த்தவனுக்கு மீதியானதும் இல்லை, கொஞ்சமாய்ச் சேர்த்தவனுக்குக் குறைவானதும் இல்லை; அவரவர் தாங்கள் புசிக்கும் அளவுக்குத்தக்கதாகச் சேர்த்தார்கள்.

ஜனங்கள் இந்த உணவைக் குடும்பத்திலுள்ள ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் கொடுத்தார்கள். உணவை அளந்தபோது ஒவ்வொருவருக்கும் போதுமான அளவு இருந்தது. ஆனால் ஒருபோதும் அதிகப்படியான உணவு இருந்ததில்லை. ஒவ்வொருவனும் அவனுக்கும் அவனது குடும்பத்திற்கும் தேவையான உணவை மாத்திரம் சேகரித்துக்கொண்டான்.
