அவர்களுடைய இரதங்களிலிருந்து உருளைகள் கழலவும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரதங்களை வருத்தத்தோடே நடத்தவும் பண்ணினார்; அப்பொழுது எகிப்தியர்: இஸ்ரவேலரைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவோம், கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குத் துணைநின்று எகிப்தியருக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறார் என்றார்கள்.

அவர்களுடைய இரதங்களிலிருந்து சக்கரங்கள் கழன்றுபோகவும், அவர்கள் தங்களுடைய இரதங்களை வருத்தத்தோடு நடத்தவும் செய்தார்; அப்பொழுது எகிப்தியர்கள்: இஸ்ரவேலர்களைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவோம், கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குத் துணைநின்று எகிப்தியர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம்செய்கிறார் என்றார்கள்.

இரதங்களின் சக்கரங்கள் சிக்கிக்கொண்டன. இரதங்களைக் கட்டுப்படுத்துவது கடினமாக இருந்தது. எகிப்தியர்கள், “இங்கிருந்து தப்பிப் போவோம்! இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்காகக் கர்த்தர் நம்மை எதிர்த்து போர் செய்கிறார்” என்றார்கள்.

அவர்களுடைய தேர்களின் சக்கரங்களை அவர் புதைந்து போகச் செய்ததால், தேரோட்டுவது அவர்களுக்குக் கடினமாயிற்று. அப்போது எகிப்தியர், “இஸ்ரயேலரிடமிருந்து நாம் ஓடிச் சென்று விடுவோம். ஏனெனில், ஆண்டவர்தாமே அவர்கள் சார்பாக நின்று எகிப்தியராகிய நமக்கு எதிராகப் போரிடுகிறார்” என்றனர்.⒫

Avarkalutaiya irathangalilirunthu urulaikal kalalavum, avarkal thangal irathangalai varuththaththotae nadaththavum pannnninaar; appoluthu ekipthiyar: isravaelaraivittu otippovom, Karththar avarkalukkuth thunnainintu ekipthiyarukku virothamaay yuththampannnukiraar entarkal.

அவர்களுடைய இரதங்களிலிருந்து உருளைகள் கழலவும், அவர்கள் தங்கள் இரதங்களை வருத்தத்தோடே நடத்தவும் பண்ணினார்; அப்பொழுது எகிப்தியர்: இஸ்ரவேலரைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போவோம், கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்குத் துணைநின்று எகிப்தியருக்கு விரோதமாய் யுத்தம்பண்ணுகிறார் என்றார்கள்.

אֵ֚ת ʾēt ate
wheels, אֹפַ֣ן ʾôpān oh-FAHN
their chariot מַרְכְּבֹתָ֔יו merkābâ mer-ka-VA
that they drave וַֽיְנַהֲגֵ֖הוּ nāhag na-HAHɡ
them heavily: בִּכְבֵדֻ֑ת kĕbēdut keh-vay-DOOT
said, וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
so that the Egyptians מִצְרַ֗יִם miṣrayim meets-ra-YEEM
Let us flee אָנ֙וּסָה֙ nûs noos
from the face מִפְּנֵ֣י pānîm pa-NEEM
of Israel; יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל yiśrāʾēl yees-ra-ALE
for כִּ֣י kî kee
the Lord יְהוָ֔ה yĕhōwâ yeh-hoh-VA
fighteth נִלְחָ֥ם lāḥam la-HAHM
