36 ராஜா தனக்கு இஷ்டமானபடி செய்து, தன்னை உயர்த்தி, எந்த தேவனிலும் தன்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கி தேவாதி தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாக ஆச்சரியமான காரியங்களைப் பேசுவான்; கோபம் தீருமட்டும் அவனுக்குக் கைகூடிவரும்; நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்டது நடந்தேறும். And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done.

37 அவன் தன் பிதாக்களின் தேவர்களை மதியாமலும், ஸ்திரீகளின் சிநேகத்தையும், எந்த தேவனையும் மதியாமலும், எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் தன்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கி, Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

38 அரண்களின் தேவனைத் தன் ஸ்தானத்திலே கனம்பண்ணி தன் பிதாக்கள் அறியாத ஒரு தேவனைப் பொன்னினாலும் வெள்ளியினாலும், இரத்தினங்களினாலும், உச்சிதமான வஸ்துக்களினாலும் கனம்பண்ணுவான். But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

39 அவன் அரணிப்பான கோட்டைகளுக்காகவும், அந்நிய தேவனுக்காகவும் செய்வது என்னவென்றால், அவைகளை மதிக்கிறவர்களுக்கு மகா கனமுண்டாக்கி, அவர்கள் அநேகரை ஆளும்படிச் செய்து, அவர்களுக்கு தேசத்தைக் கிரயத்துக்காகப் பங்கிடுவான். Thus shall he do in the most strong holds with a strange god, whom he shall acknowledge and increase with glory: and he shall cause them to rule over many, and shall divide the land for gain.

40 முடிவுகாலத்திலோவென்றால் தென்றிசை ராஜா அவனோடே முட்டுக்கு நிற்பான்; வடதிசை ராஜாவும் இரதங்களோடும் குதிரைவீரர்களோடும் அநேகம் கப்பல்களோடும் சூறைக்காற்றுபோல் அவனுக்கு விரோதமாய் வருவான்; அவன் தேசங்களுக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, அவைகளைப் பிரவாகித்துக் கடந்துபோவான். And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him: and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and shall overflow and pass over.

41 அவன் சிங்காரமான தேசத்திலும் வருவான்; அப்பொழுது அநேக தேசங்கள் கவிழ்க்கப்படும்; ஆனாலும் ஏதோமும், மோவாபும், அம்மோன் புத்திரரில் பிரதானமானவர்களும், அவன் கைக்குத் தப்பிப்போவார்கள். He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 அவன் தேசங்களின்மேல் தன் கையை நீட்டுவான்; எகிப்துதேசம் தப்புவதில்லை. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 எகிப்தினுடைய பொன்னும் வெள்ளியுமான ஐசுவரியங்களையும் உச்சிதமான எல்லா வஸ்துக்களையும் ஆண்டுகொள்ளுவான்; லீபியரும் எத்தியோப்பியரும் அவனுக்குப் பின்செல்லுவார்கள். But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

44 ஆனாலும் கிழக்கிலும் வடக்கிலும் இருந்து வரும் செய்திகள் அவனைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணும்; அப்பொழுது அவன் அநேகரை அழிக்கவும் சங்காரம்பண்ணவும் மகா உக்கிரத்தோடே புறப்பட்டுப்போய், But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

45 சமுத்திரங்களுக்கு இடையிலுள்ள சிங்காரமான பரிசுத்த பர்வதத்தண்டையிலே தன் அரமனையாகிய கூடாரங்களைப் போடுவான்; ஆனாலும் அவனுக்கு ஒத்தாசை பண்ணுவாரில்லாமல், அவன் முடிவடைவான். And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.

36 Raajaa thanakku ishdamaanapati seythu, thannai uyarththi, entha thaevanilum thannaip periyavanaakki thaevaathi thaevanukku virothamaaka aachchariyamaana kaariyangalaip paesuvaan; kopam theerumattum avanukkuk kaikootivarum; nirnayikkappattathu nadanthaeraுm. 37 Avan than pithaakkalin thaevarkalai mathiyaamalum, sthireekalin sinaekaththaiyum, entha thaevanaiyum mathiyaamalum, ellaavattirkum thannaip periyavanaakki, Neither shall he regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god: for he shall magnify himself above all.

38 Arannkalin thaevanaith than sthaanaththilae kanampannnni than pithaakkal ariyaatha oru thaevanaip ponninaalum velliyinaalum, iraththinangalinaalum, uchchithamaana vasthukkalinaalum kanampannnuvaan. But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things.

39 Avan arannippaana kottaைkalukkaakavum, anniya thaevanukkaakavum seyvathu ennavental, avaikalai mathikkiravarkalukku makaa kanamunndaakki, avarkal anaekarai aalumpatich seythu, avarkalukku thaesaththaik kirayaththukkaakap pangiduvaan. 40 Mutivukaalaththilovental thentisai raajaa avanotae muttukku nirpaan; vadathisai raajaavum irathangalodum kuthiraiveerarkalodum anaekam kappalkalodum sooraikkaattaுpol avanukku virothamaay varuvaan; avan thaesangalukkul piravaesiththu, avaikalaip piravaakiththuk kadanthupovaan. 41 Avan singaaramaana thaesaththilum varuvaan; appoluthu anaeka thaesangal kavilkkappadum; aanaalum aethomum, movaapum, ammon puththiraril pirathaanamaanavarkalum, avan kaikkuth thappippovaarkal. He shall enter also into the glorious land, and many countries shall be overthrown: but these shall escape out of his hand, even Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the children of Ammon.

42 Avan thaesangalinmael than kaiyai neettuvaan; ekipthuthaesam thappuvathillai. He shall stretch forth his hand also upon the countries: and the land of Egypt shall not escape.

43 Ekipthinutaiya ponnum velliyumaana aisuvariyangalaiyum uchchithamaana ellaa vasthukkalaiyum aanndukolluvaan; leepiyarum eththiyoppiyarum avanukkup pinselluvaarkal. But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

44 Aanaalum kilakkilum vadakkilum irunthu varum seythikal avanaik kalangappannnum; appoluthu avan anaekarai alikkavum sangaarampannnavum makaa ukkiraththotae purappattuppoy, But tidings out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him: therefore he shall go forth with great fury to destroy, and utterly to make away many.

45 Samuththirangalukku itaiyilulla singaaramaana Parisuththa parvathaththanntaiyilae than aramanaiyaakiya koodaarangalaip poduvaan; aanaalum avanukku oththaasai pannnuvaarillaamal, avan mutivataivaan. And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain; yet he shall come to his end, and none shall help him.
