சாயங்காலத்தில், திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்கு எஜமான் தன் காரியக்காரனை நோக்கி: நீ வேலையாட்களை அழைத்து, பிந்திவந்தவர்கள் தொடங்கி முந்திவர்கள்வரைக்கும் அவர்களுக்குக் கூலி கொடு என்றான்.

“அன்று மாலை திராட்சைத் தோட்டக்காரன் வேலைக்காரர்களைக் கவனிக்கும் மேற்பார்வையாளனிடம், ‘வேலைக்காரர்கள் அனைவரையும் அழைத்து அவர்களுக்குப் பணம் கொடுத்துவிடு. நான் கடைசியாக அழைத்து வந்தவர்களுக்கு முதலில் பணம் கொடு. இப்படியே அனைவருக்கும் நான் முதலில் அழைத்து வந்தவன் வரைக்கும் பணம் கொடு’ என்றான்.
