সেই সময় ব্যবস্থার শিক্ষকরা ও ফরীশীরা, ব্যভিচার করতে গিয়ে ধরা পড়েছে এমন একজন স্ত্রীলোককে তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে এল৷ তারা সেই স্ত্রীলোককে তাদের মাঝখানে দাঁড় করিয়ে যীশুকে বলল,
