எல்லா மக்களும் அவர்களைப் பின்தொடர்ந்தனர். வீரர்கள் படிகளினருகே வந்தபோது, அவர்கள் பவுலை சுமக்க வேண்டியதாயிற்று. மக்கள் அவனைக் காயப்படுத்த முனைந்ததால் அவனது பாதுகாப்பிற்காக அவர்கள் இவ்வாறு செய்தனர். மக்கள் உரக்க, “அவனைக் கொல்லுங்கள்” என்று கத்தினர்.
