பெலிஸ்தரோடு இன்னும் வேறொருயுத்தம் கோபிலே உண்டானபோது, யாரெயொர்கிமின் குமாரனாகிய எல்க்கானான் என்னும் பெத்லகேமியன் காத் ஊரானாகிய கோலியாத்தின் சகோதரனை வெட்டினான்; அவன் ஈட்டித் தாங்கானது நெய்கிறவர்களின் படைமரம் அவ்வளவு பெரிதாயிருந்தது.
