அப்பொழுது தாவீது, அந்த ஸ்திரீ யார் என்று விசாரிக்க ஆள் அனுப்பினான்; அவள் எலியாமின் குமாரத்தியும், ஏத்தியனான உரியாவின் மனைவியுமாகிய பத்சேபாள் என்றார்கள்.

உடனே தாவீது தனது அதிகாரிகளை அழைத்து அப்பெண் யாரென விசாரித்தான். ஒரு அதிகாரி, “அப்பெண், எலியாமின் மகளாகிய பத்சேபாள், அவள் ஏத்தியனாகிய உரியாவின் மனைவி” என்றான்.

Appoluthu David, antha sthiree yaar entu visaarikka aal anuppinaan; aval eliyaamin kumaaraththiyum, aeththiyanaana uriyaavin manaiviyumaakiya pathsepaal entarkal.

And said, וַיֹּ֗אמֶר ʾāmar ah-MAHR
not הֲלוֹא lōʾ loh
