பிறகு ஏசாயா அரசனிடம், “அத்திப் பழத்தின் அடையைப் பிசைந்து புண்களின் மேல் பற்று போடுங்கள்” என்றான். அவ்விதமாகவே அத்திப்பழத்தின் அடையைப் பிசைந்து எசேக்கியாவின் புண்ணின் மேல் பூசினார்கள். பிறகு எசேக்கியா குணமானான்.

And Isaiah	יְשַׁעְיָ֔הוּ	yĕšaʿyâ	yeh-sha-YA
Take	קְח֖וּ	lāqaḥ	la-KAHK
a lump	דְּבֶ֣לֶת	dĕbēlâ	deh-vay-LA
of figs.	תְּאֵנִ֑ים	tĕʾēn	teh-ANE
And they took	וַיִּקְח֛וּ	lāqaḥ	la-KAHK
and laid	וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ	śûm	soom
on	עַֽל	ʿal	al
the boil,	הַשְּׁחִ֖ין	šĕḥîn	sheh-HEEN
and he recovered.	וַיֶּֽחִי׃	ḥāyâ	ha-YA
