அவர்களுடைய பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் தமது ஜனத்தையும் தமது வாசஸ்தலத்தையும் காப்பதற்கான இரக்கமுள்ளவராயிருந்தபடியால், அவர்களிடத்துக்குத் தம்முடைய ஸ்தானாபதிகளை ஏற்கனவே அனுப்பினார்.

அவர்களது முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் அவர்களை எச்சரிக்கப் பல்வேறு தீர்க்கதரிசிகளை மீண்டும் மீண்டும் அனுப்பினார். கர்த்தர் அவர்களுக்காகவும், தமது ஆலயத்துக்காகவும் வருத்தப்பட்டார். அதனால் அவர் இவ்வாறுச் செய்தார். கர்த்தர் அவர்களையும், ஆலயத்தையும் அழித்துவிட விரும்பவில்லை.
