யோசியா இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய தேசங்கள் எங்கும் உண்டான அருவருப்புகளையெல்லாம் அகற்றி, இஸ்ரவேலிலே காணப்பட்டவர்களையெல்லாம் தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரைச் சேவிக்கும்படி செய்தான்; அவன் உயிரோடிருந்த நாளெல்லாம் அவர்கள் தங்கள் பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரை விட்டுப் பின்வாங்கினதில்லை.

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் பல் வேறு நாடுகளிலிருந்து விக்கிரகங்களைக் கொண்டு வந்து வைத்திருந்தனர். ஆனால் யோசியா அந்த கொடூரமான விக்கிரகங்களை எல்லாம் அழித்துவிட்டான். அரசன் இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அனைவரையும் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குச் சேவைசெய்யுமாறுச் செய்தான். யோசியா உயிரோடு இருந்தவரை ஜனங்கள் தமது முற்பிதாக்களின் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குச் சேவை செய்தனர்.
