அவன் தேவனுடைய பெட்டியைக் குறித்துச் சொன்னவுடனே, ஏலி ஆசனத்திலிருந்து வாசலின் பக்கமாய் மல்லாக்க விழுந்தான்; அவன் கிழவனும் ஸ்தூலித்தவனுமாயிருந்தபடியால், அவன் பிடரி முறிந்து செத்துப்போனான். அவன் இஸ்ரவேலை நாற்பது வருஷம் நியாயம்விசாரித்தான்.
