அப்பொழுது சவுல் தன்னோடேகூட இருக்கிற ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நம்மிடத்திலிருந்து போனவர்கள் யார் என்று இலக்கம்பாருங்கள் என்றான்; அவர்கள் இலக்கம் பார்க்கிறபோது, இதோ, யோனத்தானும் அவன் ஆயுததாரியும் அங்கே இல்லை என்று கண்டார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது சவுல் தன்னோடு இருக்கிற மக்களைப் பார்த்து: நம்மிடத்திலிருந்து போனவர்கள் யார் என்று கணக்கெடுங்கள் என்றான்; அவர்கள் கணக்கெடுக்கிறபோது, இதோ, யோனத்தானும் அவனுடைய ஆயுததாரியும் அங்கே இல்லை என்று கண்டார்கள்.

unto the people	לָעָם֙	ʿam	am
that	אֲשֶׁ֣ר	ʾăšer	uh-SHER
with	אִתּ֔וֹ	ʾēt	ate
him, Number	פִּקְדוּ	pāqad	pa-KAHD
now,	נָ֣א	nāʾ	na
and see	וּרְא֔וּ	rāʾâ	ra-AH
who	מִ֖י	mî	mee
is gone	הָלַ֣ךְ	hālak	ha-LAHK
from	מֵֽעִמָּ֑נוּ	ʿim	eem
