ἐὰν though ean γὰρ For gar εὐαγγελίζωμαι I preach the gospel, euangelizō οὐκ nothing ou ἔστιν have esti μοι I moi καύχημα· to glory of: kauchēma ἀνάγκη necessity anankē γάρ for gar μοι upon me; moi ἐπίκειται· is laid epikeimai οὐαὶ woe ouai δέ yea, de μοι unto me, moi ἐστὶν is esti ἐὰν if ean μὴ not mē εὐαγγελίζωμαι, I preach the gospel! euangelizō

Ἐλεύθερος free eleutheros γὰρ For gar ὢν though I be ōn ἐκ from ek πάντων all pas πᾶσιν unto all, pas ἐμαυτὸν myself emautou ἐδούλωσα yet have I made servant douloō ἵνα that hina τοὺς the ho πλείονας more. pleiōn κερδήσω· I might gain kerdainō

τοῖς ho ἀνόμοις To them that are without law, anomos ὡς as hōs ἄνομος without law, anomos μὴ not mē ὢν (being ōn ἄνομος without law anomos θεῷ to God, theos ἀλλ' but alla ἔννομος under the law ennomos Χριστῷ to Christ,) christos ἵνα that hina κερδήσω I might gain kerdainō ἀνόμους· them that are without law. anomos

ἐγενόμην became I ginomai τοῖς the ho ἀσθενέσιν To weak asthenēs ὡς as hōs ἀσθενής weak, asthenēs ἵνα that hina τοὺς the ho ἀσθενεῖς weak: asthenēs κερδήσω· I might gain kerdainō τοῖς ho πᾶσιν to all pas γέγονα I am made ginomai τὰ ho πάντα all things pas ἵνα that hina πάντως by all means pantōs τινὰς some. tis σώσω I might save sōzō

Οὐκ not ou οἴδατε Know ye eidō ὅτι that hoti οἱ they which ho ἐν in en σταδίῳ a race stadion τρέχοντες run trechō πάντες all, pas μὲν men τρέχουσιν run trechō εἷς one heis δὲ but de λαμβάνει receiveth lambanō τὸ the ho βραβεῖον prize? brabeion οὕτως So houtō τρέχετε run, trechō ἵνα that hina καταλάβητε ye may obtain. katalambanō

πᾶς every man pas δὲ And de ὁ that ho ἀγωνιζόμενος striveth for the mastery agōnizomai πάντα in all things. pas ἐγκρατεύεται is temperate enkrateuomai ἐκεῖνοι they ekeinos μὲν men οὖν Now oun ἵνα to hina φθαρτὸν a corruptible phthartos στέφανον crown; stephanos λάβωσιν obtain lambanō ἡμεῖς we hēmeis δὲ but de ἄφθαρτον an incorruptible. aphthartos

ἐγὼ I egō τοίνυν therefore toinyn οὕτως so houtō τρέχω run, trechō ὡς as hōs οὐκ not ou ἀδήλως uncertainly; adēlōs οὕτως so houtō πυκτεύω fight I, pykteō ὡς as hōs οὐκ not ou ἀέρα the air: aēr δέρων· one that beateth derō

ἀλλ' But alla ὑπωπιάζω I keep under hypōpiazō μου my mou τὸ ho σῶμα body, sōma καὶ and kai δουλαγωγῶ bring into subjection: doulagōgeō μήπως, lest that by any means, mēpōs ἄλλοις to others, allos κηρύξας when I have preached kēryssō αὐτὸς I myself autos ἀδόκιμος a castaway. adokimos γένωμαι should be ginomai
