לִבְנֵ֣י Of the sons bēn אָסָ֗ף of Asaph; ʾāsāp זַכּ֧וּר Zaccur, zakkûr וְיוֹסֵ֛ף and Joseph, yôsēp וּנְתַנְיָ֥ה and Nethaniah, nĕtanyâ וַֽאֲשַׂרְאֵ֖לָה and Asarelah, ʾăśarʾēlâ בְּנֵ֣י the sons bēn אָסָ֑ף of Asaph ʾāsāp עַ֚ל under ʿal יַד the hands yād אָסָ֔ף of Asaph, ʾāsāp הַנִּבָּ֖א which prophesied nābāʾ עַל according to ʿal יְדֵ֥י the order yād הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ of the king. melek

לִֽידוּת֑וּן Of Jeduthun: yĕdûtûn בְּנֵ֣י the sons bēn יְדוּת֡וּן of Jeduthun; yĕdûtûn גְּדַלְיָ֡הוּ Gedaliah, gĕddalyâ וּצְרִ֡י and Zeri, ṣĕrî וִֽ֠ישַׁעְיָהוּ and Jeshaiah, yĕšaʿyâ חֲשַׁבְיָ֨הוּ Hashabiah, ḥăšabyâ וּמַתִּתְיָ֜הוּ and Mattithiah, mattityâ שִׁשָּׁ֗ה six, šēš עַל֩ under ʿal יְדֵ֨י the hands yād אֲבִיהֶ֤ם of their father ʾāb יְדוּתוּן֙ Jeduthun, yĕdûtûn בַּכִּנּ֔וֹר with a harp, kinnôr הַנִּבָּ֕א who prophesied nābāʾ עַל to ʿal הֹד֥וֹת give thanks yādâ וְהַלֵּ֖ל and to praise hālal לַֽיהוָֽה׃ the Lord. yĕhōwâ

לְהֵימָ֑ן Of Heman: hêmān בְּנֵ֣י the sons bēn הֵימָ֡ן of Heman; hêmān בֻּקִּיָּ֡הוּ Bukkiah, buqqiyyâ מַתַּנְיָ֡הוּ Mattaniah, mattanyâ עֻ֠זִּיאֵל Uzziel, ʿuzzîʾēl שְׁבוּאֵ֨ל Shebuel, šĕbûʾēl וִֽירִימ֜וֹת and Jerimoth, yĕrîmôt חֲנַנְיָ֣ה Hananiah, ḥănanyâ חֲנָ֗נִי Hanani, ḥănānî אֱלִיאָ֤תָה Eliathah, ʾĕlîʾātâ גִדַּ֙לְתִּי֙ Giddalti, giddaltî וְרֹמַ֣מְתִּי עֶ֔זֶר and Romamti-ezer, rômamtî ʿezer יָשְׁבְּקָ֣שָׁה Joshbekashah, yošbĕqāšâ מַלּ֔וֹתִי Mallothi, mallôtî הוֹתִ֖יר Hothir, hôtîr מַחֲזִיאֹֽת׃ Mahazioth: maḥăzîʾôt

כָּל All kōl אֵ֨לֶּה these ʾēlle בָנִ֜ים the sons bēn לְהֵימָ֗ן of Heman hêmān חֹזֵ֥ה seer ḥōze הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ the king's melek בְּדִבְרֵ֥י in the words dābār הָֽאֱלֹהִ֖ים of God, ʾĕlōhîm לְהָרִ֣ים to lift up rûm קָ֑רֶן the horn. qeren וַיִּתֵּ֨ן gave nātan הָֽאֱלֹהִ֜ים And God ʾĕlōhîm לְהֵימָ֗ן to Heman hêmān בָּנִ֛ים sons bēn אַרְבָּעָ֥ה fourteen ʾarbaʿ עָשָׂ֖ר ʿāśār וּבָנ֥וֹת daughters. bat שָׁלֽוֹשׁ׃ and three šālôš

וַיְהִ֤י was hāyâ מִסְפָּרָם֙ So the number mispār עִם of them, with ʿim אֲחֵיהֶ֔ם their brethren ʾāḥ מְלֻמְּדֵי that were instructed lāmad שִׁ֖יר in the songs šîr לַֽיהוָ֑ה of the Lord, yĕhōwâ כָּל all kōl הַ֨מֵּבִ֔ין that were cunning, bîn מָאתַ֖יִם two hundred mēʾâ שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים fourscore šĕmōnîm וּשְׁמוֹנָֽה׃ and eight. šĕmōne

וַיַּפִּ֜ילוּ And they cast nāpal גּֽוֹרָל֣וֹת lots, gôrāl מִשְׁמֶ֗רֶת ward mišmeret לְעֻמַּת֙ against ʿummâ כַּקָּטֹ֣ן as well the small qāṭān כַּגָּד֔וֹל as the great, gādôl מֵבִ֖ין the teacher bîn עִם as ʿim תַּלְמִֽיד׃ the scholar. talmîd

וַיֵּצֵ֞א came forth yāṣāʾ הַגּוֹרָ֧ל lot gôrāl הָֽרִאשׁ֛וֹן Now the first riʾšôn לְאָסָ֖ף for Asaph ʾāsāp לְיוֹסֵ֑ף to Joseph: yôsēp גְּדַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ to Gedaliah, gĕddalyâ הַשֵּׁנִ֔י the second šēnî הֽוּא who hûʾ וְאֶחָ֥יו with his brethren ʾāḥ וּבָנָ֖יו and sons bēn שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֣י The third šĕlîšî זַכּ֔וּר to Zaccur, zakkûr בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הָֽרְבִיעִי֙ The fourth rĕbîʿî לַיִּצְרִ֔י to Izri, yiṣrî בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַֽחֲמִישִׁ֣י The fifth ḥămîšî נְתַנְיָ֔הוּ to Nethaniah, nĕtanyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַשִּׁשִּׁ֣י The sixth šiššî בֻקִּיָּ֔הוּ to Bukkiah, buqqiyyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַשְּׁבִעִ֣י The seventh šĕbîʿî יְשַׂרְאֵ֔לָה to Jesharelah, yĕśarʾēlâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַשְּׁמִינִ֣י The eighth šĕmînî יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ to Jeshaiah, yĕšaʿyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַתְּשִׁיעִ֣י The ninth tĕšîʿî מַתַּנְיָ֔הוּ to Mattaniah, mattanyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הָֽעֲשִׂירִ֣י The tenth ʿăśîrî שִׁמְעִ֔י to Shimei, šimʿî בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

עַשְׁתֵּי The eleventh ʿaštê עָשָׂ֣ר ʿāśār עֲזַרְאֵ֔ל to Azareel, ʿăzarʾēl בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

הַשְּׁנֵ֤ים The twelfth šĕnayim עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār לַֽחֲשַׁבְיָ֔ה to Hashabiah, ḥăšabyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה The thirteenth šālôš עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār שֽׁוּבָאֵ֔ל to Shubael, šĕbûʾēl בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לְאַרְבָּעָ֤ה The fourteenth ʾarbaʿ עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār מַתִּתְיָ֔הוּ to Mattithiah, mattityâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לַֽחֲמִשָּׁ֤ה The fifteenth ḥāmēš עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār לִֽירֵמ֔וֹת to Jeremoth, yĕrîmôt בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לְשִׁשָּׁ֤ה The sixteenth šēš עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār לַֽחֲנַנְיָ֔הוּ to Hananiah, ḥănanyâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לְשִׁבְעָ֤ה The seventeenth šebaʿ עָשָׂר֙ ʿāśār לְיָשְׁבְּקָ֔שָׁה to Joshbekashah, yošbĕqāšâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לְעֶשְׂרִים֙ The twentieth ʿeśrîm לֶֽאֱלִיָּ֔תָה to Eliathah, ʾĕlîʾātâ בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לְאֶחָ֤ד The one ʾeḥād וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ and twentieth ʿeśrîm לְהוֹתִ֔יר to Hothir, hôtîr בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לִשְׁנַ֤יִם The two šĕnayim וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ and twentieth ʿeśrîm לְגִדַּ֔לְתִּי to Giddalti, giddaltî בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār

לִשְׁלֹשָׁ֤ה The three šālôš וְעֶשְׂרִים֙ and twentieth ʿeśrîm לְמַ֣חֲזִיא֔וֹת to Mahazioth, maḥăzîʾôt בָּנָ֥יו his sons, bēn וְאֶחָ֖יו and his brethren, ʾāḥ שְׁנֵ֥ים twelve: šĕnayim עָשָֽׂר׃ ʿāśār
