ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਥੋੜਾ ਕੁ ਅੱਗੇ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧਿਆ। ਯਿਸੂ ਮੂੰਹ ਭਾਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ, “ਹੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਜੇਕਰ ਇਹ ਸੰਭਵ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਪਿਆਲਾ ਲੈ ਲਵੋ। ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਹੀ ਕਰ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”

And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
