1 Then came near the heads of fathers' [houses] of the Levites to Eleazar the priest, and to Joshua the son of Nun, and to the heads of fathers' [houses] of the tribes of the children of Israel;ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਲੇਵੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਸਕ, ਜਾਜਕ ਅਲਆਜ਼ਾਰ, ਨੂਨ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਹੋਸ਼ੁਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਗੱਲ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਗਏ।

2 and they spoke to them at Shiloh in the land of Canaan, saying, Yahweh commanded Moses to give us cities to dwell in, with the suburbs of it for our cattle.ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸ਼ੀਲੋਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰੀ। ਲੇਵੀ ਹਾਕਮਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇਵੋਂਗੇ।”

3 The children of Israel gave to the Levites out of their inheritance, according to the commandment of Yahweh, these cities with their suburbs.ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਇਸ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਦਿੱਤੇ:

4 The lot came out for the families of the Kohathites: and the children of Aaron the priest, who were of the Levites, had by lot out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of the Simeonites, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, thirteen cities.ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸਨ। ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ 13 ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ, ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

5 The rest of the children of Kohath had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, ten cities.ਹੋਰਨਾ ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਸ ਕਸਬੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ, ਦਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

6 The children of Gershon had by lot out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half-tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, thirteen cities.ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ 13 ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ, ਆਸ਼ੇਰ, ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚਲੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

7 The children of Merari according to their families had out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities.ਮਰਾਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ। ਇਹ ਬਾਰਾਂ ਕਸਬੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਰਊਬੇਨ, ਗਾਦ ਅਤੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

8 The children of Israel gave by lot to the Levites these cities with their suburbs, as Yahweh commanded by Moses.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

9 They gave out of the tribe of the children of Judah, and out of the tribe of the children of Simeon, these cities which are [here] mentioned by name:ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਇਹ ਹਨ।

10 and they were for the children of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathites, who were of the children of Levi; for theirs was the first lot.ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਚੋਣ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੱਕ ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਆਰ ਦੇ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

11 They gave them Kiriath Arba, [which Arba was] the father of Anak (the same is Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, with the suburbs of it round about it.ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ (ਇਹ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਹੈ। ਇਸਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਰਬਾ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਰਬਾ ਅਨੋਕ ਦਾ ਪਿਉ ਸੀ।) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

12 But the fields of the city, and the villages of it, gave they to Caleb the son of Jephunneh for his possession.ਪਰ ਕਿਰਯਥ ਅਰਬਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੇ ਛੋਟੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਖੇਤ ਯਫ਼ੁੰਨਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਾਲੇਬ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

13 To the children of Aaron the priest they gave Hebron with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Libnah with its suburbs,ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਬਰੋਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਹਬਰੋਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ।) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਬਾਨੋਨ,

14 and Jattir with its suburbs, and Eshtemoa with its suburbs,ਯੱਤਿਰ, ਅਸ਼ਤਮੋਆ,

15 and Holon with its suburbs, and Debir with its suburbs,ਹੋਲੋਨ, ਦਬਿਰ, ਹੋਲੋਨ, ਦਬਿਰ,

16 and Ain with its suburbs, and Juttah with its suburbs, [and] Beth-shemesh with its suburbs; nine cities out of those two tribes.ਆਇਨ, ਯੁੱਤਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ ਸ਼ਮਸ਼ ਦੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਵੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨੌਂ ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

17 Out of the tribe of Benjamin, Gibeon with its suburbs, Geba with its suburbs,ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤਰਾਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ ਇਹ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸਨ ਗਿਬਓਨ, ਗਬਾ,

18 Anathoth with its suburbs, and Almon with its suburbs; four cities.ਅਨਾਥੋਥ ਅਤੇ ਅਲਮੋਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਸਬਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the priests, were thirteen cities with their suburbs.ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ 13 ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ। (ਸਾਰੇ ਜਾਜਕ ਹਾਰੂਨ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਸਨ।) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

20 The families of the children of Kohath, the Levites, even the rest of the children of Kohath, they had the cities of their lot out of the tribe of Ephraim.ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਲੇ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਮਿਲੇ:

21 They gave them Shechem with its suburbs in the hill-country of Ephraim, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Gezer with its suburbs,ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜੀ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸ਼ਕਮ। (ਸ਼ਕਮ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ।) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਜ਼ਰ,

22 and Kibzaim with its suburbs, and Beth Horon with its suburbs; four cities.ਕਿਬਸੈਮ ਅਤੇ ਬੈਤ ਹੋਰੋਨ ਵੀ ਮਿਲੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਅਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ, ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

23 Out of the tribe of Dan, Elteke with its suburbs, Gibbethon with its suburbs,ਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਤਕੇਹ ਗਿਬਥੋਨ,

24 Aijalon with its suburbs, Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; four cities.ਅੱਯਾਲੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਗਥ ਰਿੰਮੋਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਦਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

25 Out of the half-tribe of Manasseh, Taanach with its suburbs, and Gath-rimmon with its suburbs; two cities.ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਨਾਕ ਅਤੇ ਗਥ ਰਿੰਮੋਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਅੱਧੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

26 All the cities of the families of the rest of the children of Kohath were ten with their suburbs.ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ, ਕਹਾਥ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦੇ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਸ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀ।

27 To the children of Gershon, of the families of the Levites, out of the half-tribe of Manasseh [they gave] Golan in Bashan with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Be-eshterah with its suburbs; two cities.ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਵੀ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਮਿਲੇ: ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਧੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਸ਼ਾਨ ਵਿੱਚਲਾ ਗੋਲਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਗੋਲਨ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ।) ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਅਸ਼ਤਰਾਹ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਇਸ ਅੱਧੇ ਮਨੱਸ਼ਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

28 Out of the tribe of Issachar, Kishion with its suburbs, Daberath with its suburbs,ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ਼ਯੋਨ, ਦਾਬਰਥ,

29 Jarmuth with its suburbs, En Gannim with its suburbs; four cities.ਯਰਮੂਥ ਅਤੇ ਏਨ ਗੱਨੀਮ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਯਿੱਸਾਕਾਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

30 Out of the tribe of Asher, Mishal with its suburbs, Abdon with its suburbs,ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸ਼ਾਲ, ਅਬਦੋਨ,

31 Helkath with its suburbs, and Rehob with its suburbs; four cities.ਹਲਕਾਥ ਅਤੇ ਰਹੋਬ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਆਸ਼ੇਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

32 Out of the tribe of Naphtali, Kedesh in Galilee with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Hammothdor with its suburbs, and Kartan with its suburbs; three cities.ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਲੀਲ ਵਿੱਚਲਾ ਕਦਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਕਦਸ਼ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ।) ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਮੋਥ ਦੌਰ ਅਤੇ ਕਰਤਾਨ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਿੰਨ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

33 All the cities of the Gershonites according to their families were thirteen cities with their suburbs.ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਗੇਰਸ਼ੋਨ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 13 ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀ।

34 To the families of the children of Merari, the rest of the Levites, out of the tribe of Zebulun, Jokneam with its suburbs, and Kartah with its suburbs,ਦੂਸਰਾ ਲੇਵੀ-ਸਮੂਹ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਸੀ। ਮਰਾਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਸਬੇ ਮਿਲੇ: ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਕਨਾਮ, ਕਾਰਤਾਹ,

35 Dimnah with its suburbs, Nahalal with its suburbs; four cities.ਦਿਮਨਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਲਾਲ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਲੁਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

36 Out of the tribe of Reuben, Bezer with its suburbs, and Jahaz with its suburbs,ਰਊਬੇਨ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਸਰ, ਯਾਹਸਾਹ,

37 Kedemoth with its suburbs, and Mephaath with its suburbs; four cities.ਕੇਦੋਮੋਥ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਪਅਬ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਰਊਬੇਨ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

38 Out of the tribe of Gad, Ramoth in Gilead with its suburbs, the city of refuge for the manslayer, and Mahanaim with its suburbs,ਗਾਦ ਦੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਵਿੱਚਲਾ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਦਿੱਤਾ। (ਰਾਮੋਥ ਸੁਰੱਖਿਅਤ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਸੀ।) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਨਇਮ,

39 Heshbon with its suburbs, Jazer with its suburbs; four cities in all.ਹਸ਼ਬੋਨ ਅਤੇ ਯਆਜ਼ੇਰ ਵੀ ਦਿੱਤੇ। ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਗਾਦ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚਾਰ ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

40 All [these were] the cities of the children of Merari according to their families, even the rest of the families of the Levites; and their lot was twelve cities.ਕੁੱਲ ਮਿਲਾ ਕੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਦੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਮਰਾਰੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ 12 ਕਸਬੇ ਮਿਲੇ।

41 All the cities of the Levites in the midst of the possession of the children of Israel were forty-eight cities with their suburbs.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੇਵੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਲ 48 ਕਸਬੇ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਦੀ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਮਿਲੀ। ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਕਸਬੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇਲਾਕਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੋਰਨਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ-ਸਮੂਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਲਕੀ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਸਨ।

42 These cities were every one with their suburbs round about them: thus it was with all these cities.ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਕੋਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਧਰਤੀ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਹਰੇਕ ਕਸਬੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਹੀ ਸੀ।

43 So Yahweh gave to Israel all the land which he swore to give to their fathers; and they possessed it, and lived therein.ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਿਸਦਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸ ਗਏ।

44 Yahweh gave them rest round about, according to all that he swore to their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; Yahweh delivered all their enemies into their hand.ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ, ਜਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਹਰ ਪਾਸੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਰੱਖਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਰਾਇਆ। ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਹਰ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਣ ਨੂੰ ਹਰਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ।

45 There failed not anything of any good thing which Yahweh had spoken to the house of Israel; all came to pass.ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਿਭਾਇਆ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ। ਹਰ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਸੱਚਾ ਸਾਬਤ ਹੋਇਆ।
