1 "Most assuredly, I tell you, one who doesn't enter by the door into the sheep fold, but climbs up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.ਅਯਾਲੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੂਹੇ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਕਿਸੇ ਹੋਰ ਰਸਤੇ ਵੜਦਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਚੋਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।

2 But one who enters in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.ਪਰ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਫਾਟਕ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਵੜਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਹੈ।

3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.ਉਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਦਰਬਾਨ ਫ਼ਾਟਕ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਉਸਦਾ ਬੋਲ ਸੁਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਉਂ ਲੈ-ਲੈ ਕੇ ਬੁਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।

4 Whenever he brings out his own sheep, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਤੁਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਪਛਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

5 They will by no means follow a stranger, but will flee from him; for they don't know the voice of strangers."ਪਰ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਏ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੇ ਮਗਰ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਨਠ ਜਾਣਗੀਆਂ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਇਆਂ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਛਾਣਦੀਆਂ।”

6 Jesus spoke this parable to them, but they didn't understand what he was telling them.ਭਾਵੇਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਤਾਂਤ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇਸਦਾ ਅਰਥ ਨਾ ਸਮਝ ਸੱਕੇ।

7 Jesus therefore said to them again, "Most assuredly, I tell you, I am the sheep's door.ਯਿਸੂ ਚੰਗਾ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ, ਦੁਬਾਰਾ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੱਚ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਲਈ ਦੁਆਰ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ।

8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep didn't listen to them.ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਆਏ ਉਹ ਚੋਰ ਜਾਂ ਡਾਕੂ ਸਨ, ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁਣਿਆ।

9 I am the door. If anyone enters in by me, he will be saved, and will go in and go out, and will find pasture.ਮੈਂ ਬੂਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਬਚਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਉਹ ਅੰਦਰ-ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ-ਜਾਇਆ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਲੱਭ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।

10 The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.ਚੋਰ ਚੋਰੀ, ਮਾਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਦਾਖਲ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਆਇਆ ਹਾਂ, ਇੱਕ ਚੋਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ।

11 I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.“ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਜੜੀ ਹਾਂ। ਇੱਕ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਜੜੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

12 He who is a hired hand, and not a shepherd, who doesn't own the sheep, sees the wolf coming, leaves the sheep, and flees. The wolf snatches the sheep, and scatters them.ਇੱਕ ਭਾੜੇ ਦਾ ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਆਜੜੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਬਘਿਆੜ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਦਾ, ਉਹ ਨਠ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। ਬਘਿਆੜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖਿੰਡਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।

13 The hired hand flees because he is a hired hand, and doesn't care for the sheep.ਮਜ਼ਦੂਰ ਨੱਠ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤਨਖਾਹ ਲਈ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਖਿਆਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਰੱਖਦਾ।

14 I am the good shepherd. I know my own, and I'm known by my own;“ਮੈਂ ਚੰਗਾ ਆਜੜੀ ਹਾਂ, ਜੋ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਉਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਦਲੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

15 even as the Father knows me, and I know the Father. I lay down my life for the sheep.

16 I have other sheep, which are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice. They will become one flock with one shepherd.ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਹਨ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਇਸ ਇੱਜੜ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਲਿਆਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣਨਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਇੱਜੜ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕੋ ਆਜੜੀ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।

17 Therefore the Father loves me, because I lay down my life, that I may take it again.ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈ ਸੱਕਾਂ। ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਂਹਦਾ ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਗੁਆ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।

18 No one takes it away from me, but I lay it down by myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. I received this commandment from my Father."ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਣ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰ ਹੈ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”

19 Therefore a division arose again among the Jews because of these words.ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ, ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਸੁਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਦ, ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਆਪਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਤਭੇਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।

20 Many of them said, "He has a demon, and is insane! Why do you listen to him?"ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਭੂਤ ਹੈ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਇੱਕ ਪਾਗਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਾਂਗ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਸੁਣ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ?”

21 Others said, "These are not the sayings of one possessed by a demon. It isn't possible for a demon to open the eyes of the blind, is it?"ਪਰ ਦੂਜਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਜਿਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੂਤ ਹੋਵੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਬੋਲ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਭੂਤ ਕਿਸੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟੀ ਦੇ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ? ਨਹੀਂ!”

22 It was the Feast of the Dedication{The "Feast of the Dedication" is the Greek name for "Chanukkah," a celebration of the rededication of the Temple.} at Jerusalem.ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਹੋਣਾ ਇਹ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੀ ਰੁੱਤ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਸ਼ਠਾ ਦੇ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਆਇਆ।

23 It was winter, and Jesus was walking in the temple, in Solomon's porch.ਯਿਸੂ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਡਿਉਢੀ ਤੇ ਟਹਿਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।

24 The Jews therefore came around him and said to him, "How long will you hold us in suspense? If you are the Christ, tell us plainly."ਯਹੂਦੀ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਆਲੇ-ਦੁਆਲੇ ਇੱਕਤਰ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਕਿੰਨੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਤੱਕ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੁਬਿਧਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ? ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈਂ ਤਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਹਿ।”

25 Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you don't believe. The works that I do in my Father's name, these testify about me.ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ। ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਰਾਮਾਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸਾਖੀ ਦਿੰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

26 But you don't believe, because you are not of my sheep, as I told you.ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ। ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਇੱਜੜ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ।

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ। ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਨੁਸਰਣ ਕਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ।

28 I give eternal life to them. They will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰਨਗੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈ।

29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all. No one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand.ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਸਭ ਤੋਂ ਮਹਾਨ ਹੈ।

30 I and the Father are one."ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਖੋਹ ਸੱਕਦਾ। ਮੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਹਾਂ।”

31 Therefore Jews took up stones again to stone him.ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਪੱਥਰ ਚੁੱਕੇ।

32 Jesus answered them, "I have shown you many good works from my Father. For which of those works do you stone me?"ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਪਿਤਾ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਅਨੇਕਾਂ ਚੰਗੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਵਿਖਾਈਆਂ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਕਾਰਜ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪੱਥਰਾਵ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹੋ?”

33 The Jews answered him, "We don't stone you for a good work, but for blasphemy: because you, being a man, make yourself God."ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਕੰਮ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਰਹੇ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਸਿਰਫ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈਂ ਪਰ ਤੂੰ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ। ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਾਂ।”

34 Jesus answered them, "Isn't it written in your law, 'I said, you are gods?'ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਹੋ।’

35 If he called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture can't be broken),ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਵਤੇ ਸਦਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪੋਥੀ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਝੂਠੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋ ਸੱਕਦੀ।

36 Do you say of him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You blaspheme,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God?'ਫਿਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਕਹਿ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ। ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਕਿਉਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹਾਂ?’ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਭੇਜਣ ਲਈ ਚੁਣਿਆ।

37 If I don't do the works of my Father, don't believe me.ਜੇਕਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਸਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।

38 But if I do them, though you don't believe me, believe the works; that you may know and believe that the Father is in me, and I in the Father."ਪਰ ਜੇ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਾਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਫਿਰ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ, ਪਰ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੈਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਫੇਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਜਾਣੋਂਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਮਝੋਂਗੇ ਕਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਪਿਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਾਂ।”

39 They sought again to seize him, and he went out of their hand.ਯਹੂਦੀ ਫੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਰਫ਼ਤਾਰ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਚ ਗਿਆ।

40 He went away again beyond the Jordan into the place where John was baptizing at first, and there he stayed.ਯਿਸੂ ਫਿਰ ਯਰਦਨ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਪਾਰ ਦੀ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ।

41 Many came to him. They said, "John indeed did no sign, but everything that John said about this man is true."ਉੱਥੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੀ, “ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਕਦੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਰਿਸ਼ਮਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ, ਪਰ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ (ਯਿਸੂ) ਬਾਰੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਉਹ ਸੱਚ ਸੀ।”

42 Many believed in him there.ਉੱਥੇ ਫਿਰ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
