Acts 21 - YLT (Punjabi)

1 And it came to pass, at our sailing, having been parted from them, having run direct, we came to Coos, and the succeeding `day' to Rhodes, and thence to Patara,ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਾ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਆਖਕੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਿੱਧਾ ਕੋਸ ਟਾਪੂ ਵੱਲ ਆਏ। ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਅਸੀਂ ਰੋਦੁਸ ਟਾਪੂ ਵੱਲ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਰੋਦੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਾਤਰਾ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ।

2 and having found a ship passing over to Phenicia, having gone on board, we sailed,ਪਾਤ੍ਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਜੋ ਫ਼ੈਨੀਕੇ ਵੱਲ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਲਈ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ।

3 and having discovered Cyprus, and having left it on the left, we were sailing to Syria, and did land at Tyre, for there was the ship discharging the lading.ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਟਾਪੂ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਇਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵੱਲ ਵਿਖਾਈ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਰੁਕੇ ਨਹੀਂ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਸੁਰਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਉੱਤਰੇ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਮਾਲ ਉਤਾਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

4 And having found out the disciples, we tarried there seven days, and they said to Paul, through the Spirit, not to go up to Jerusalem;ਉੱਥੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਕੁਝ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਠਹਿਰੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

5 but when it came that we completed the days, having gone forth, we went on, all bringing us on the way, with women and children, unto the outside of the city, and having bowed the knees upon the shore, we prayed,ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ੇਰੀ ਖਤਮ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ। ਉੱਥੋਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਰਦ-ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਤੱਕ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਆਖਣ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਟੇਕ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ।

6 and having embraced one another, we embarked in the ship, and they returned to their own friends.ਫ਼ਿਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਲਵਿਦਾ ਕਹੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਲੋਕ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਤ ਗਏ।

7 And we, having finished the course, from Tyre came down to Ptolemais, and having saluted the brethren, we remained one day with them;ਅਸੀਂ ਸੂਰ ਤੋਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਲ ਯਾਤਰਾ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਲਮਾਇਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਠਹਿਰੇ।

8 and on the morrow Paul and his company having gone forth, we came to Cesarea, and having entered into the house of Philip the evangelist -- who is of the seven -- we remained with him,ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਤੁਲਮਾਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵੱਲ ਆਏ। ਅਸੀਂ ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਅੰਦਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਠਹਿਰੇ। ਫ਼ਿਲਿਪੁੱਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰਕ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤ ਮਦਦਗਾਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ।

9 and this one had four daughters, virgins, prophesying.ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਚਾਰ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਾਲੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁੜੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਅਗੰਮ ਵਾਕ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਬਖਸ਼ਸ਼ ਸੀ।

10 And we remaining many more days, there came down a certain one from Judea, a prophet, by name Agabus,ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਕਾਫ਼ੀ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਗਬੁਸ ਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਨਬੀ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਤਰ ਆਇਆ।

11 and he having come unto us, and having taken up the girdle of Paul, having bound also his own hands and feet, said, `Thus saith the Holy Spirit, The man whose is this girdle -- so shall the Jews in Jerusalem bind, and they shall deliver `him' up to the hands of nations.'ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਇਆ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀ ਕਮਰ ਪੇਟੀ ਲੈ ਲਈ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਕਮਰਪਟੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਆਖਣ ਲੱਗਾ, “ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਿ ‘ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇਣਗੇ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਕਮਰਪਟਾ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਹਵਾਲੇ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।’”

12 And when we heard these things, we called upon `him' -- both we, and those of that place -- not to go up to Jerusalem,ਜਦੋਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣੇ, ਤਾਂ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਮ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ।

13 and Paul answered, `What do ye -- weeping, and crushing mine heart? for I, not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem, am ready, for the name of the Lord Jesus;'ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਰੋ ਕਿਉਂ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਤੋੜ ਰਹੇ ਹੋ। ਮੈਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਮਰ ਮਿਟਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਤਿਆਰ ਹਾਂ।”

14 and he not being persuaded, we were silent, saying, `The will of the Lord be done.'ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਮਨਵਾ ਸੱਕੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਬੰਦ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਵੇ।”

15 And after these days, having taken `our' vessels, we were going up to Jerusalem,ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਅਸੀਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੋਕੇ ਚੱਲ ਪਏ।

16 and there went also of the disciples from Cesarea with us, bringing with them him with whom we may lodge, a certain Mnason of Cyprus, an aged disciple.ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੁਝ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜ ਗਏ। ਉਹ ਚੇਲੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਸੌਨ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਲੈ ਗਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਠਹਿਰ ਸੱਕੀਏ। ਉਹ ਕਪਰੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਪਹਿਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਚੇਲੇ ਬਣੇ ਸਨ।

17 And we having come to Jerusalem, the brethren did gladly receive us,ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦਾ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣਾ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਡਾ ਸ਼ਾਨਦਾਰ ਸਵਾਗਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

18 and on the morrow Paul was going in with us unto James, all the elders also came,ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਗਿਆ। ਸਾਰੇ ਵਡੇਰੇ (ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਆਗੂ) ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਸਨ।

19 and having saluted them, he was declaring, one by one, each of the things God did among the nations through his ministration,ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁਭਕਾਮਾਨਾਵਾਂ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਫ਼ਸੀਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।

20 and they having heard, were glorifying the Lord. They said also to him, `Thou seest, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews who have believed, and all are zealous of the law,ਜਦੋ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਅਜਿਹੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਸੁਣੀਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਭਰਾ ਤੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿ ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਹੀ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਬਣ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਹਨ। ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹਨ ਕਿ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਨੇਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨਣਾ ਮਹੱਤਵਪੂਰਣ ਹੈ।

21 and they are instructed concerning thee, that apostacy from Moses thou dost teach to all Jews among the nations, saying -- Not to circumcise the children, nor after the customs to walk;ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਵੀ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇਸ਼ਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੰਨਤ ਨਾ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੰਦੇ ਹੋ।

22 what then is it? certainly the multitude it behoveth to come together, for they will hear that thou hast come.“ਸੋ ਹੁਣ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯਹੂਦੀ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਸੁਣ ਲੈਣਗੇ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਹੈਂ।

23 `This, therefore, do that we say to thee: We have four men having a vow on themselves,ਸੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਹੈ? ਸਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਦਮੀ ਹਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕਰਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

24 these having taken, be purified with them, and be at expence with them, that they may shave the head, and all may know that the things of which they have been instructed concerning thee are nothing, but thou dost walk -- thyself also -- the law keeping.ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਰਚ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਵਾ ਸੱਕਣ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਸੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਖੁਦ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਣਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।

25 `And concerning those of the nations who have believed, we have written, having given judgment, that they observe no such thing, except to keep themselves both from idol-sacrifices, and blood, and a strangled thing, and whoredom.'“ਅਸੀਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਤਰ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਨਿਹਚਾਵਾਨ ਬਣ ਗਏ ਹਨ। ਉਸ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ; ‘ਉਹ ਭੋਜਨ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮੂਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਲਹੂ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ, ਗਲ ਘੁੱਟੇ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਨਵਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਨਾ ਖਾਓ। ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਜਿਨਸੀ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੋ।’”

26 Then Paul, having taken the men, on the following day, with them having purified himself, was entering into the temple, announcing the fulfilment of the days of the purification, till the offering was offered for each one of them.ਪੌਲੁਸ ਕੈਦ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਗਲੇ ਦਿਨ, ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਆਦਮੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਨਿਭਾਈ। ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਹ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਐਲਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਸ਼ੁੱਧਤਾ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਦੋਂ ਹੋਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਕਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਲਈ ਭੇਂਟ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।

27 And, as the seven days were about to be fully ended, the Jews from Asia having beheld him in the temple, were stirring up all the multitude, and they laid hands upon him,ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਸੱਤ ਕੁ ਦਿਨ ਖਤਮ ਹੋ ਚੁੱਕੇ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਅਸਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਆਏ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

28 crying out, `Men, Israelites, help! this is the man who, against the people, and the law, and this place, all everywhere is teaching; and further, also, Greeks he brought into the temple, and hath defiled this holy place;'ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਚੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਚੀਕਣ ਲੱਗੇ, “ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਮਰਦੋ। ਇੱਥੇ ਆਓ ਤੇ ਮਦਦ ਕਰੋ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਹਰ ਥਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼, ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਖਿਲਾਫ਼ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਇਹੀ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਥਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।”

29 for they had seen before Trophimus, the Ephesian, in the city with him, whom they were supposing that Paul brought into the temple.(ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਆਖੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਤ੍ਰੋਫ਼ਿਮੁਸ ਅਫ਼ਸੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਸੀ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਅਹਾਤੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।)

30 All the city also was moved and there was a running together of the people, and having laid hold on Paul, they were drawing him out of the temple, and immediately were the doors shut,ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਦਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਧੱਕ ਕੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਝੱਟ ਹੀ ਮੰਦਰ ਦੇ ਦਰਵਾਜ਼ੇ ਬੰਦ ਹੋ ਗਏ।

31 and they seeking to kill him, a rumour came to the chief captain of the band that all Jerusalem hath been thrown into confusion,ਲੋਕ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰ ਮੁਕਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਤਾਂ ਰੋਮ ਦੀ ਫ਼ੌਜ ਦੇ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਨੂੰ ਖਬਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਗਦੜ ਮੱਚੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।

32 who, at once, having taken soldiers and centurions, ran down upon them, and they having seen the chief captain and the soldiers, did leave off beating Paul.ਤਾਂ ਝੱਟ ਹੀ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਉਸ ਭੀੜ ਵਾਲੀ ਥਾਂ ਤੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਫ਼ੌਜੀ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਿਆਇਆ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਸੈਨਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

33 Then the chief captain, having come nigh, took him, and commanded `him' to be bound with two chains, and was inquiring who he may be, and what it is he hath been doing,ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਆਕੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਫ਼ੜ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੋ ਜੰਜ਼ੀਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਦੇਣ। ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਇਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਇਸਨੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ?”

34 and some were crying out one thing, and some another, among the multitude, and not being able to know the certainty because of the tumult, he commanded him to be carried to the castle,ਭੀੜ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚੀ-ਉੱਚੀ ਅੱਡੋ-ਅੱਡ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਇਸ ਖੱਪ ਰੌਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੈਨਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚਾਈ ਨਾ ਪਤਾ ਲੱਗ ਸੱਕੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਦਾ ਆਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

35 and when he came upon the steps, it happened he was borne by the soldiers, because of the violence of the multitude,ਸਾਰੀ ਭੀੜ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ, ਸਿਪਾਹੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਬੇਕਾਬੂ ਭੀੜ ਕਾਰਣ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਲਿਆ। ਇਹ ਸਭ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਭੀੜ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਾਉਣ ਖਾਤਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਭੀੜ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਨ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਸੀ।

36 for the crowd of the people was following after, crying, `Away with him.'ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਰੌਲਾ ਪਾ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, “ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿਓ।”

37 And Paul being about to be led into the castle, saith to the chief captain, `Is it permitted to me to say anything unto thee?' and he said, `Greek dost thou know?ਸਿਪਾਹੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੈਨਾ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਜਾਣ ਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਰ ਸਨ। ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਆਖ ਸੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਓਏ। ਤੂੰ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਬੋਲਦਾ ਹੈਂ?

38 art not thou, then, the Egyptian who before these days made an uprising, and did lead into the desert the four thousand men of the assassins?'ਤਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਆਦਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਸੋਚਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰੀ ਸੀ ਜਿਸਨੇ ਹਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇੱਕ ਵਿਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਰ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਖੂਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾੜ ਵੱਲ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।”

39 And Paul said, `I, indeed, am a man, a Jew, of Tarsus of Cilicia, of no mean city a citizen; and I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.'ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਕਿਲਕਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਤਰਸੁਸ ਦਾ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹਾਂ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਖਾਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦਾ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਹਾਂ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ।”

40 And he having given him leave, Paul having stood upon the stairs, did beckon with the hand to the people, and there having been a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew dialect, saying:ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਬੋਲਣ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਨਗੀ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਤਾਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਪ ਕਰਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ਼ਾਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਜਦੋਂ ਲੋਕ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਏ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਬਰਾਨੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੋਲਿਆ।
