Acts 13 - BBE (Punjabi)

1 Now there were at Antioch, in the church there, prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon who was named Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen, a relation of Herod the king, and Saul.ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਸੌਂਪਣਾ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਗਿਰਜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਈ ਨਬੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਸਨ; ਬਰਨਬਾਸ, ਸ਼ਿਮਓਨ, ਜੋ ਨੀਗਰ ਵੀ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਕੂਰੈਨੇ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੂਕਿਯੁਸ, ਮਨਏਨ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਹੇਰੋਦੇਸ ਨਾਲ ਪਲਿਆ ਸੀ, ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ।

2 And while they were doing the Lord's work, and going without food, the Holy Spirit said, Let Barnabas and Saul be given to me for the special work for which they have been marked out by me.ਇਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ ਤਾਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਅਲੱਗ ਕਰੋ, ਜਿਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਹੈ।”

3 Then, after prayer and going without food they put their hands on them, and sent them away.ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਰਤ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਤੇ ਰੱਖੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਰਸਤੇ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia; and from there they went by ship to Cyprus.ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਜਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਲੂਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਦੇ ਦੀਪ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ।

5 And at Salamis they were preaching the word of God in the Synagogues of the Jews: and John was with them, helping them.ਜਦੋਂ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਸਲਮੀਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਮਰਕੁਸ ਉਸ ਵਕਤ ਮਦਦ ਲਈ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ।

6 And when they had gone through all the island to Paphos, they came across a certain wonder-worker and false prophet, a Jew whose name was Bar-Jesus;ਉਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਟਾਪੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ-ਫ਼ਿਰਦੇ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ। ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ, ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੋ ਜਾਦੂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸਦਾ ਨਾਂ ਸੀ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ। ਉਹ ਝੂਠਾ ਨਬੀ ਸੀ।

7 Who was with the ruler, Sergius Paulus, an able man. This man sent for Barnabas and Saul, desiring to have knowledge of the word of God.ਬਰਯੇਸੂਸ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਸਰਗੀਊਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਗਵਰਨਰ ਸੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਸਰਗੀਊਸ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਸਿਆਣਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਘਰ ਸੱਦਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ।

8 But Elymas, the wonder-worker (for that is the sense of his name), put himself against them, with the purpose of turning the ruler from the faith.ਪਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਜਾਦੂਗਰ (ਇਲਮਾਸ ਬਰਯੇਸੂਮ ਦਾ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ) ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ। ਇਲਮਾਸ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ।

9 But Saul, whose other name is Paul, being full of the Holy Spirit, looking hard at him, said,ਪਰ ਸੌਲੁਸ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਸੀ (ਸੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਵੀ ਆਖਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ) ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੇ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ,

10 O you, who are full of false tricks and evil ways, a son of the Evil One, hating all righteousness, will you for ever be turning people from the right ways of the Lord?ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੂੰ, ਹੇ ਸ਼ੈਤਾਨ ਦੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਇਲਮਾਸ, ਹਰ ਠੀਕ ਵਸਤ ਦਾ ਦੁਸ਼ਮਨ ਹੈ। ਤੂੰ ਬੁਰਿਆਈ ਅਤੇ ਝੂਠਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਪੂਰ ਹੈਂ। ਤੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੱਚ ਨੂੰ ਝੂਠ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਦਲ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਹੈ।

11 And now, see, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind and not able to see the sun for a time. And straight away a dark mist came down on him; and he went about looking for a guide.ਹੁਣ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਹੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਅੰਨ੍ਹਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ। ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਲਈ ਤੂੰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਦੇਖ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੱਕੇਂਗਾ, ਇੱਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਕਿ ਸੂਰਜ ਦੀ ਰੌਸ਼ਨੀ ਵੀ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸੇਗੀ।” ਫ਼ਿਰ ਇਲਮਾਸ ਲਈ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਸੇ-ਪਾਸੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੱਥ ਫ਼ੜਕੇ ਉਸਦੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇ।

12 Then the ruler, when he saw what was done, had faith, being full of wonder at the teaching of the Lord.ਜਦੋਂ ਰਾਜਪਾਲ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਘਟਨਾ ਵੇਖੀ, ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।

13 Then Paul and those who were with him went by ship from Paphos and came to Perga in Pamphylia: and there John went away from them and came back to Jerusalem.ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਕੁਪਰੁਸ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਹੋਰ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਪਾਫ਼ੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੜ੍ਹ੍ਹਕੇ ਪਮਫ਼ੁਲਿਯਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਪਰਗਾ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਖ ਹੋਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ।

14 But they, going through from Perga, came to Antioch in Pisidia; and they went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath and were seated.ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਰਗਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਸਫ਼ਰ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਸਿਦਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਗਏ। ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਜਾਕੇ ਬੈਠ ਗਏ।

15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the Synagogue sent to them, saying, Brothers, if you have a word of comfort for the people, say on.ਤੁਰੇਤ ਦੇ ਨਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਲਿਖਤਾਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਪੜ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਗਈਆਂ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ, ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਕੋਈ ਉਤਸਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬੋਲੋ।”

16 And Paul, getting up and making a sign with his hand, said, Men of Israel, and you who have the fear of God, give ear.ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਹੱਥ ਉੱਪਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੇਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਭਰਾਵੋ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਦੂਜੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸੁਣੋ।

17 The God of this people Israel made selection of our fathers, lifting the people up from their low condition when they were living in the land of Egypt, and with a strong arm took them out of it.ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਧਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਦੋਂ ਮਦਦ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਜਨਬੀਆਂ ਵਾਂਗ ਸਨ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਹਾਨ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਬਾਹਰ ਲਿਆਇਆ।

18 And for about forty years he put up with their ways in the waste land.ਤੇ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਵਰ੍ਹੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੜਾ ਧੀਰਜ ਵਰਤਿਆ।

19 And having put to destruction seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them the land for their heritage for about four hundred and fifty years.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਨਾਨ ਦੀ ਜ਼ਮੀਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਸ਼ਟ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ

20 And after these things he gave them judges, till the time of Samuel the prophet.ਇਹ ਸਭ ਲਗਭੱਗ ਚਾਰ ਸੌ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਵਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਪਰਿਆ। “ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਮੂਏਲ ਨਬੀ ਤੀਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਆਂਈ ਦਿੱਤੇ।

21 Then at their request for a king, God gave them Saul, the son of Kish, a man of the family of Benjamin, who was their king for forty years.ਇਸਤੋਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਮੰਗਿਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੀਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਬਿਨਯਾਮੀਨ ਦੇ ਵੰਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਚਾਲ੍ਹੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ।

22 And having put him on one side, he made David their king, to whom he gave witness, saying, I have taken David, the son of Jesse, a man dear to my heart, who will do all my pleasure.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਸ਼ਾਊਲ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਬਾਦਸ਼ਾਹ ਬਣਾਇਆ। ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਦਾਊਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਉਂ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਯੱਸੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਦਾਊਦ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਿਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਇੱਛਾਵਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਪਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਉਹੀ ਕਰੇਗਾ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਉਸਤੋਂ ਕਰਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।’

23 From this man's seed has God given to Israel a Saviour, even Jesus, as he gave his word;“ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਲਿਆਇਆ ਹੈ। ਯਿਸੂ ਉਹੀ ਔਲਾਦ ਹੈ।

24 For whose coming John made ready the way by preaching to all the people of Israel the baptism which goes with a change of heart.ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਆਉਣ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੌਬਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲੈਣ ਦਾ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ।

25 And when John was completing his work, he said, What do I seem to you to be? I am not he; but one is coming after me, whose shoes I am not good enough to undo.ਜਦੋਂ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਆਪਣਾ ਕੰਮ ਖਤਮ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋਂ? ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ। ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਆਵੇਗਾ। ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੈਰ ਦੀ ਜੁੱਤੀ ਦੇ ਤਸਮੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹਣ ਦੇ ਵੀ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਾਂ।’

26 My brothers, children of the family of Abraham, and those among you who have the fear of God, to us the word of this salvation is sent.“ਮੇਰੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ। ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰੋ ਅਤੇ ਗੈਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲੋਕੋ, ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ, ਸੁਣੋ। ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਇਹ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।

27 For the men of Jerusalem and their rulers, having no knowledge of him, or of the sayings of the prophets which come to their ears every Sabbath day, gave effect to them by judging him.ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਮੁਕਤੀਦਾਤਾ ਸੀ। ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਸਮਝੇ ਜੋ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਨਿਖੇਧੀ ਕੀਤੀ। ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਤੇ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ।

28 And though no cause of death was seen in him, they made a request to Pilate that he might be put to death.ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਤਲ ਦੇ ਲਾਇੱਕ ਕੋਈ ਦੋਸ਼ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ, ਲੱਭਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪਿਲਾਤੁਸ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਜ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।

29 And when they had done all the things said in the Writings about him, they took him down from the tree, and put him in the place of the dead.“ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਪੋਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਪਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਬੁਰਾ ਯਿਸੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਸਲੀਬ ਤੋਂ ਲਾਹਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਫ਼ਨਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

30 But God gave him back from the dead:ਪਰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਲਿਆ।

31 And for a number of days he was seen by those who came with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are now his witnesses before the people.ਇਸਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ, ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਮਗਰੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਗਲੀਲ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਸਨ, ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

32 And we are giving you the good news of the undertaking made to the fathers,“ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਵਾਅਦੇ ਦੀ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸਾਡੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।

33 Which God has now put into effect for our children, by sending Jesus; as it says in the second Psalm, You are my Son; this day I have given you being.ਅਸੀਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਬੱਚੇ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਹੁਣ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਠਾ ਕਿ ਸਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਵਾਅਦਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਵੇਂ ਦੂਜੇ ਜ਼ਬੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਇਵੇਂ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ: ‘ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈਂ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਿਤਾ ਬਣਿਆ ਹਾਂ।’

34 And about his coming back from the dead, never again to go to destruction, he has said these words, I will give you the holy and certain mercies of David.ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਵਾਇਆ। ਉਹ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਕਬਰ ਵੱਲ ਸੜ੍ਹਨ ਲਈ ਵਾਪਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ‘ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਚੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਵਚਨ ਦਿੱਤੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵਾਂਗਾ।’

35 Because he says in another Psalm, You will not let your Holy One see destruction.ਪਰ ਦੂਜੀ ਜਗ਼੍ਹਾ ਇਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ‘ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਪੁਰੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।’

36 Now David, having done God's work for his generation, went to sleep, and was put with his fathers, and his body came to destruction:“ਦਾਊਦ, ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਉ-ਦਾਦਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਫ਼ਨਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਸਰੀਰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੜ ਗਿਆ।

37 But he, who was lifted up by God, did not see destruction.ਪਰ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ, ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਉੱਠਾਇਆ, ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੜਿਆ।

38 And so, let it be clear to you, my brothers, that through this man forgiveness of sins is offered to you:ਹੇ ਭਰਾਵੋ। ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਆਖ ਰਹੇ ਹਾਂ; ਇਸਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਹੈ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਮੁਆਫ਼ੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਪਾ ਸੱਕਦੇ ਹੋ। ਹਰ ਉਹ ਵਿਅਕਤੀ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਆਫ਼ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਸਭ ਕਾਸੇ ਤੋਂ ਵੀ ਮੁਕਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸਤੋਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਰ੍ਹਾ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰ ਸੱਕਦੀ।

39 And through him everyone who has faith is made free from all those things, from which the law of Moses was not able to make you free.

40 So take care that these words of the prophets do not come true for you;ਸੁਚੇਤ ਰਹੋ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਜੋ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਨਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਵਾਪਰੇਗਾ।

41 See, you doubters, have wonder and come to your end; for I will do a thing in your days to which you will not give belief, even if it is made clear to you.‘ਨਿੰਦਕੋ ਸੁਣੋ, ਅਚਰਜ ਮੰਨੋ ਅਤੇ ਦਫ਼ਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਕੁਝ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਸਤੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਦੇ ਵੀ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਕੋਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸੇ।’”

42 And when they went out, they made a request that these words might be said to them again on the Sabbath after.ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਸਭਾ ਦਾ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਛੱਡ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ, ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਆਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੋਰ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੱਸਣ ਲਈ ਅਰਜੋਈ ਕੀਤੀ।

43 Now when the meeting was ended, a number of the Jews and of the God-fearing Gentiles who had become Jews, went after Paul and Barnabas: who put before them how important it was to keep on in the grace of God.ਉਸ ਸਭਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਾਥ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਥੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਧਰਮ ਬਦਲੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਧਰਮ ਅਪਣਾ ਲਿਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੱਚੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਣੇ ਰਹੋ।

44 And on the Sabbath after, almost all the town came together to give hearing to the word of God.ਅਗਲੇ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਲਈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ।

45 But when the Jews saw such a great number of people, they were full of envy and said evil words against Paul's preaching.ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ। ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਈਰਖਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਾੜਾ ਕਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗੇ।

46 Then Paul and Barnabas without fear said, It was necessary for the word of God to be given to you first; but because you will have nothing to do with it, and have no desire for eternal life, it will now be offered to the Gentiles.ਪਰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੁਲ੍ਹੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸੁਨਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਮੁੜਦੇ ਹਾਂ।

47 For so the Lord has given us orders, saying, I have given you for a light to the Gentiles so that you may be for salvation to the ends of the earth.ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਇਉਂ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ: ‘ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਰੋਸ਼ਨੀ ਵਰਗਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਮੁਕਤੀ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦਿਖਾ ਸੱਕੋ।’”

48 And the Gentiles, hearing this, were glad and gave glory to the word of God: and those marked out by God for eternal life had faith.ਜਦੋਂ ਗੈਰ-ਯਹੂਦੀ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ ਹੋਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਸਤਿਕਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਹੀ ਲੋਕ ਸਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਦੀਪਕ ਜੀਵਨ ਲਈ ਚੁਣੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ, ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।

49 And the word of the Lord went through all the country.ਤਾਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਫ਼ੈਲਦਾ ਗਿਆ।

50 But the Jews, working up the feelings of the God-fearing women of high position and of the chief men of the town, got an attack started against Paul and Barnabas, driving them out of those parts.ਪਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਕੁਝ ਮਹੱਤਵਯੋਗ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉਕਸਾਇਆ। ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।

51 But they, shaking off the dust of that place from their feet, came to Iconium.ਪਰ ਉਹ ਦੋਨੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਝਾੜਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਇੱਕੋਨਿਯੁਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਤ ਆਏ।

52 And the disciples were full of joy and of the Holy Spirit.ਪਰ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ, ਚੇਲੇ ਅਨੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਆਤਮਾ ਨਾਲ ਭਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
