Proverbs 27 - DBY (Nepali)

1 Boast not thyself of to-morrow, for thou knowest not what a day will bring forth.तिमीलाई ज्ञान छैन भोलि के हुने हो, यसर्थ भविष्यमा हुने कुरा लिएर शेखी नगर।

2 Let another praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips.आफ्नो प्रशंसा अरूले गरोस्, आफैंले होइन।

3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a fool's vexation is heavier than them both.ढुङ्गा गह्रौं हुन्छ, बलुवा ओसार्नु अप्ठेरो पर्छ तर क्रोधित मूर्खले गराएको कष्ट सहनु त्यो भन्दा अझ गाह्रो हुन्छ ।

4 Fury is cruel, and anger is outrageous; but who is able to stand before jealousy?रिस निर्दयी हुन्छ अनि क्रोध एउटा बाढी झैं हुन्छ, तर डाहको सामुने को खडा हुन सक्छ?

5 Open rebuke is better than hidden love.लुकेको माया भन्दा खुल्ला आलोचना राम्रो।

6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are profuse.साथीले तिमीलाई कुनै बेला कडा शब्द भन्ला उसको उदेश्य नराम्रो होइन। तर शुत्रको चुम्बनहरू झूटा हुन्छन्। उसले तिमीलाई दया नै देखाओस, तर उसको हृदयमा तिमीप्रति शत्रुताले नै बास गरेको हुन्छ।

7 The full soul trampleth on a honeycomb; but to the hungry soul every bitter thing is sweet.अघाएको बेला मह पनि मीठो हुँदैन, तर भोकाएको मानिसको लागि सबै तीतो चीज पनि मीठो हुन्छ।

8 As a bird that wandereth from her nest, so is a man that wandereth from his place.आफ्नो घर छाडे पछि गुँडबाट निस्केको चरा जस्तै भौतारिन्छ।

9 Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart; and the sweetness of one's friend is [the fruit] of hearty counsel.अत्तर तथा सुगन्धित वस्तुहरूले मनमा आनन्द ल्याउँछ। अनि एकजना मानिसको साथीको आनन्ददायता हृदय देखि दिएको सल्लाहबाट आउँछ।

10 Thine own friend, and thy father's friend, forsake not; and go not into thy brother's house in the day of thy calamity: better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off.आफ्नो साथी अनि बाबुको साथीलाई कहिल्यै नभूल्नु। आपद आइलागेको समयमा भाइ भनी टाडो सहायता माग्न नजानु कारण टाडाको भाइ भन्दा छिमेकी नै उपयोगी हुन्छ।

11 Be wise, my son, and make my heart glad, that I may have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me.हे मेरो छोरो! तिमी बुद्धिमान् भएर मेरो मन खुशी पारिदेऊ ताकि, जसले मलाई घृणागर्छ त्यसलाई म जवाफ दिन सकुँ।

12 A prudent [man] seeth the evil, [and] hideth himself; the simple pass on, [and] are punished.बुद्धिमानी मानिस आपत आईलाग्ने चाल पाए, सुरक्षाको निम्ति शरण लिन्छ तर अज्ञानीमानिस शिरहरू सीधा पारेर यसै आपततिर जान्छ अनि दुःख पाउँछ।

13 Take his garment that is become surety [for] another, and hold him in pledge for a strange woman.एउटा अपरिचित मानिसलाई उधारो दिन्छौं भने उसको कोट बन्धक लेऊ। निश्चित होऊ की उसले तिमीलाई ती विदेशीहरूको बन्धकको रूपमा केहि दिन्छ।

14 He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be reckoned a curse to him.प्रभात स्वागतको लागि जसले छिमेकीको निंन्द्रा बिच्काउन जान्छ उसले श्राप पाउँछ।

15 A continual dropping on a very rainy day and a contentious woman are alike:एउटा कचकचे, झगडालु, पत्नी वर्षाको दिनमा पानी चुहुने छाना जस्ती हो।

16 whosoever will restrain her restraineth the wind, and his right hand encountereth oil.उसलाई रोक्न कोशीष गर्नु हावा चल्नुबाट रोक्न प्रयास गर्नु जस्तै अथवा हातहरूले तेल समात्न प्रयास गर्नु जस्तै व्यर्थ हो।

17 Iron is sharpened by iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.जसरी फलामको सानो टुक्राले फलाम कै छुरी तथा हतियारहरू उध्याइन्छ त्यसरी नै मानिसहरूले पनि एक-आर्काबाट ज्ञान सिक्छन्।

18 Whoso keepeth the fig-tree shall eat the fruit thereof; and he that guardeth his master shall be honoured.जसले अञ्जीरको रूख रेखदेख गर्छ उसले त्यसको फल खानु पाउँछ, त्यसरी नै जसले मालिकको खुब सेवा गर्छ उसले पुरस्कार पाउँछ।

19 As [in] water face [answereth] to face, so the heart of man to man.जब मानिसले पानीमा हेर्छ उसले त्यहाँ आफ्नो अनुहारको प्रतिबिम्बि देख्छ, त्यसरी नै एकजना मानिसको हृदय कस्तो छ उसको व्यवहारबाट चाल पाइन्छ।

20 Sheol and destruction are insatiable; so the eyes of man are never satisfied.जसरी चिहान कहिल्ये भरिदैन, मानिसको आँखा पनि कहिल्ये तृप्त हुँदैन।

21 The fining-pot is for silver, and the furnace for gold; so let a man be to the mouth that praiseth him.सुन र चाँदी आगोद्वारा जाचिन्छ, त्यसरी नै एकजना मानिसलाई उसको यशबाट जाँचिन्छ।

22 If thou shouldest bray a fool in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his folly depart from him.मूर्खलाई जाँतोमा पिंधेर धूलो पिठो बनाई सक्दा पनि उसको मूर्खताले उसलाई छोडदैन।

23 Be well acquainted with the appearance of thy flocks; look well to thy herds:तिमी निश्चित हौ की तिम्रो भेडाहरूको अवस्था तिमी जान्दछौ अनि तिम्रो बथानहरूलाई राम्रो ध्यान देऊ।

24 for wealth is not for ever; and doth the crown [endure] from generation to generation?सम्पत्ति कसै सित पनि स्थायी भई बस्दैन। राजमुकुट पनि एउटा वंशको टाउकोमा बसिरहँदैन।

25 The hay is removed, and the tender grass sheweth itself, and herbs of the mountains are gathered in.जब घाँस काटिन्छ र नयाँ पलाउँछ र पहाडको डाँडा-काडाँमा पराला जम्मा गरिन्छ,

26 The lambs are for thy clothing, and the goats are the price of a field;तब थुमाहरूबाट तिम्रो लुगाफाटा प्राप्त हुनेछ, भेडाहरूबाट खेत किन्न सक्ने छौ बाख्राको दूध

27 and there is goats' milk enough for thy food, for the food of thy household, and sustenance for thy maidens.तिम्रो घर परिवारको लागि र तिम्रो नोकर्नीहरूको भरण पोषणको लागि प्रयाप्त हुनेछ।
