Acts 27:17
അതു വലിച്ചുകയറ്റീട്ടു അവർ കപ്പൽ ചുറ്റിക്കെട്ടിയും മറ്റും ഉറപ്പുവരുത്തി; പിന്നെ മണത്തിട്ടമേൽ അകപ്പെടും എന്നു പേടിച്ചു പായി ഇറക്കി അങ്ങനെ പാറിപ്പോയി.

Which when they had taken up, they used helps, undergirding the ship; and, fearing lest they should fall into the quicksands, strake sail, and so were driven.

American Standard Version (ASV)
and when they had hoisted it up, they used helps, under-girding the ship; and, fearing lest they should be cast upon the Syrtis, they lowered the gear, and so were driven.
