1 I commend to you Phoebe, our sister, who is a servant{literally, deacon} of the assembly that is at Cenchreae,​ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸುವ ನಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರಿಯಾದ ಫೊಯಿಬೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿರಿ. ಆಕೆಯು ಕೆಂಕ್ರೆಯ ಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಸಭೆಯ ಸೇವಕಳಾಗಿದ್ದಾಳೆ.

18 For those who are such don't serve our Lord, Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by their smooth and flattering speech, they deceive the hearts of the innocent.ಅಂಥವರು ನಮ್ಮ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ಯೇಸು ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನು ಮಾಡದೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಯ ಸೇವೆಯನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡುವವರಾಗಿ ನಯದ ನುಡಿ ಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊಗಳಿಕೆಯ ಮಾತುಗಳಿಂದಲೂ ನಿಷ್ಕಪ ಟಿಗಳ ಹೃದಯಗಳನ್ನು ಮೋಸಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

19 For your obedience has become known to all. I rejoice therefore over you.
