ಪೇತ್ರನು ಆತನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಕಾಲುಗಳನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ತೊಳೆಯಬಾರದು ಅಂದನು; ಯೇಸು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ತೊಳೆಯ ದಿದ್ದರೆ ನನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿನಗೆ ಪಾಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.
