ಆಕೆಯು ಬಂಜೆ ಯಾಗಿದ್ದದರಿಂದ ಇಸಾಕನು ತನ್ನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕರ್ತನನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಬೇಡಿಕೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯಾದ ರೆಬೆಕ್ಕಳು ಗರ್ಭಿಣಿಯಾದಳು.
