1 Hear, Israel: you are to pass over the Jordan this day, to go in to dispossess nations greater and mightier than yourself, cities great and fortified up to the sky,ಓ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲೇ, ಕೇಳು; ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ನಿನಗಿಂತ ದೊಡ್ಡದಾದ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ಜನಾಂಗ ಗಳನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ವರೆಗೆ ಭದ್ರಮಾಡಿದ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನೂ

2 a people great and tall, the sons of the Anakim, whom you know, and of whom you have heard say, Who can stand before the sons of Anak?ಅನಾಕ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಮುಂದೆ ಯಾರು ನಿಲ್ಲುವರು ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಕೇಳಿ ತಿಳುಕೊಂಡಂಥ ಆ ಮಹಾ ಎತ್ತರವಾದ ಜನವಾಗಿರುವ ಅನಾಕ್ಯರ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಈಹೊತ್ತು ಯೊರ್ದನನ್ನು ದಾಟುತ್ತೀ.

3 Know therefore this day, that Yahweh your God is he who goes over before you as a devouring fire; he will destroy them, and he will bring them down before you: so shall you drive them out, and make them to perish quickly, as Yahweh has spoken to you.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ಈಹೊತ್ತು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳತಕ್ಕದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವ ರಾದ ಕರ್ತನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ದಾಟಿಹೋಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಆತನು ದಹಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡು ವನು; ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಗ್ಗಿಸುವನು; ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಿ.

4 Don't speak in your heart, after that Yahweh your God has thrust them out from before you, saying, For my righteousness Yahweh has brought me in to possess this land; whereas for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh does drive them out from before you.ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕಿದಾಗ--ನನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳ ಬಾರದು; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

5 Not for your righteousness, or for the uprightness of your heart, do you go in to possess their land; but for the wickedness of these nations Yahweh your God does drive them out from before you, and that he may establish the word which Yahweh swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಯಥಾರ್ಥತೆ ಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ನೀನು ಅವರ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವತಂತ್ರಿಸಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವದಿಲ್ಲ; ಆ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳ ಕೆಟ್ಟತನ ಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಯಾಕೋಬರಿಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಪೂರೈಸುವ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮುಂದೆ ಹೊರಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.

6 Know therefore, that Yahweh your God doesn't give you this good land to possess it for your righteousness; for you are a stiff-necked people.ಹೀಗಿರುವದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನಗೆ ಈ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಡುವದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು; ನೀನು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.

7 Remember, don't forget, how you provoked Yahweh your God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that you went forth out of the land of Egypt, until you came to this place, you have been rebellious against Yahweh.ನೀನು ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡು, ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ; ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಟ ದಿವಸ ಮೊದಲು ಗೊಂಡು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬರುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧ ವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬೀಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

8 Also in Horeb you provoked Yahweh to wrath, and Yahweh was angry with you to destroy you.ಹೋರೇಬಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದಾಗ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಿಟ್ಟುಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡನು.

9 When I was gone up onto the mountain to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which Yahweh made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water.ಆ ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾಡಿದ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಳ್ಳುವದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಏರಿದಾಗ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದೆನು.

10 Yahweh delivered to me the two tables of stone written with the finger of God; and on them [was written] according to all the words, which Yahweh spoke with you on the mountain out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly.ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನಲಿಲ್ಲ, ನೀರೂ ಕುಡಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ; ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಬೆರಳಿನಿಂದ ಬರೆದ ಆ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು; ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಂಗಡ ಬೆಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿಯೊಳಗಿಂದ ಸಭಾಕೂಟದ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಆಡಿದ ಮಾತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.

11 It came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that Yahweh gave me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant.ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿಗಳಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯ ಹಲಗೆಗಳಾದ ಆ ಎರಡು ಕಲ್ಲಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.

12 Yahweh said to me, Arise, get you down quickly from hence; for your people whom you have brought forth out of Egypt have corrupted themselves; they have quickly turned aside out of the way which I commanded them; they have made them a molten image.ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಎದ್ದು ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಬೇಗ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗು; ಯಾಕಂದರೆ ನೀನು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಬರ ಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರು ಕೆಟ್ಟುಹೋದರು; ನಾನು ಅವ ರಿಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಮಗೆ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು ಎಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

13 Furthermore Yahweh spoke to me, saying, I have seen this people, and, behold, it is a stiff-necked people:ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನಗೆ--ನಾನು ಈ ಜನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಇಗೋ, ಇದು ಬಗ್ಗದ ಕುತ್ತಿಗೆಯುಳ್ಳ ಜನವೇ.

14 let me alone, that I may destroy them, and blot out their name from under the sky; and I will make of you a nation mightier and greater than they.ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡು; ಆಗ ಅವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡಿ ಅವರ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಆಕಾಶದ ಕೆಳಗಿನಿಂದ ಅಳಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅವರಿಗಿಂತ ಬಲವಾದ ಬಹು ಜನಾಂಗವಾಗ ಮಾಡುವೆನು ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು.

15 So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain was burning with fire: and the two tables of the covenant were in my two hands.ಆಗ ನಾನು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಇಳಿದೆನು; ಆ ಬೆಟ್ಟವು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಿಂದ ಉರಿಯುತ್ತಿತ್ತು; ಒಡಂಬಡಿ ಕೆಯ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವು.

16 I looked, and, behold, you had sinned against Yahweh your God; you had made you a molten calf: you had turned aside quickly out of the way which Yahweh had commanded you.ನಾನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ ಇಗೋ, ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡಿ ಎರಕ ಹೊಯ್ದ ಕರುವನ್ನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಂಡು ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಬೇಗ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

17 I took hold of the two tables, and cast them out of my two hands, and broke them before your eyes.ಆಗ ನಾನು ಆ ಎರಡು ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಣು ಮುಂದೆ ಒಡೆದು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.

18 I fell down before Yahweh, as at the first, forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water; because of all your sin which you sinned, in doing that which was evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger.ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪಾಪಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನುಮಾಡಿ ಆತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನೆಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವೂ ಮುಂಚಿನಂತೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ರೊಟ್ಟಿ ತಿನ್ನದೆ, ನೀರು ಕುಡಿಯದೆ, ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಾನು ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.

19 For I was afraid of the anger and hot displeasure, with which Yahweh was angry against you to destroy you. But Yahweh listened to me that time also.ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೋಪ ರೌದ್ರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೆದರಿದೆನು; ಆ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಯನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿದನು.

20 Yahweh was very angry with Aaron to destroy him: and I prayed for Aaron also at the same time.ಆರೋನನನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಬಹಳ ಕೋಪ ಗೊಂಡನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಆರೋನನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಆ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆಮಾಡಿದೆನು.

21 I took your sin, the calf which you had made, and burnt it with fire, and stamped it, grinding it very small, until it was as fine as dust: and I cast the dust of it into the brook that descended out of the mountain.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿದ ಪಾಪವಾಗಿರುವ ಆ ಕರುವನ್ನು ತಕ್ಕೊಂಡು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಟ್ಟು ತುಳಿದು ಅದು ಧೂಳಿ ನಂತೆ ಪುಡಿಯಾಗುವ ವರೆಗೆ ಚೆನ್ನಾಗಿ ಅರೆದು ಅದರ ಧೂಳನ್ನು ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದ ಹರಿಯುವ ಹಳ್ಳದಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಹಾಕಿದೆನು.

22 At Taberah, and at Massah, and at Kibroth-hattaavah, you provoked Yahweh to wrath.ತಬೇರಾನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಮಸ್ಸದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕಿಬ್ರೋತ್‌ ಹತಾವಾದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಎಬ್ಬಿಸಿದ ವರಾದಿರಿ.

23 When Yahweh sent you from Kadesh-barnea, saying, Go up and possess the land which I have given you; then you rebelled against the commandment of Yahweh your God, and you didn't believe him, nor listen to his voice.ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾದೇಶ್‌ ಬರ್ನೇಯದಿಂದ ಕಳುಹಿಸುವಾಗ--ನೀವು ಹೋಗಿ ನಾನು ನಿಮಗೆ ಕೊಡುವ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಸ್ವಾಧೀನಮಾಡಿ ಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದಾಗ ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಕರ್ತನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬಿದ್ದು ಆತನನ್ನು ನಂಬಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಆತನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲ.

24 You have been rebellious against Yahweh from the day that I knew you.ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ತಿಳಿದಂದಿನಿಂದ ನೀವು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ವಿರೋಧವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಿಬೀಳುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದಿರಿ.

25 So I fell down before Yahweh the forty days and forty nights that I fell down, because Yahweh had said he would destroy you.ಹೀಗಿರಲಾಗಿ ಕರ್ತನು ನಿಮ್ಮನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡು ತ್ತೇನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಾನು ಮುಂಚೆ ಬಿದ್ದುಕೊಂಡ ಹಾಗೆ ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ಹಗಲು ನಾಲ್ವತ್ತು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದೆನು.

26 I prayed to Yahweh, and said, Lord Yahweh, don't destroy your people and your inheritance, that you have redeemed through your greatness, that you have brought forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand.ನಾನು ಕರ್ತನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥನೆ ಮಾಡಿ--ಓ ಕರ್ತನಾದ ದೇವರೇ, ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಮಹತ್ವದಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಚಿಸಿ, ಬಲವಾದ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನ ವನ್ನೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವನ್ನೂ ನಾಶಮಾಡಬೇಡ.

27 Remember your servants, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; don't look to the stubbornness of this people, nor to their wickedness, nor to their sin,ನಿನ್ನ ದಾಸರಾದ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮ್‌ ಇಸಾಕ್‌ ಯಾಕೋಬರನ್ನು ಜ್ಞಾಪಕಮಾಡಿಕೋ; ಈ ಜನರ ಕಾಠಿಣ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ಅವರ ದುಷ್ಟತ್ವದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ಅವರ ಪಾಪದ ಮೇಲೆಯೂ ದೃಷ್ಟಿ ಇಡಬೇಡ.

28 lest the land whence you brought us out say, Because Yahweh was not able to bring them into the land which he promised to them, and because he hated them, he has brought them out to kill them in the wilderness.ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದಿಯೋ ಆ ದೇಶವು--ಕರ್ತನು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬರಮಾಡ ಲಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದರಿಂದಲೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ರಿಂದಲೂ ಅರಣ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಬಾರದು.

29 Yet they are your people and your inheritance, which you brought out by your great power and by your outstretched arm.ಆದಾಗ್ಯೂ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಶಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ ಚಾಚಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯಿಂದಲೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬರಮಾಡಿದ ನಿನ್ನ ಜನವೂ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ತ್ಯವೂ ಇವರೇ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದೆನು.
