1 Now Jehoshaphat had riches and honor in abundance; and he joined affinity with Ahab.ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವೂ ಘನತೆಯೂ ಅಧಿಕವಾಗಿರುವಾಗ ಅವನು ಅಹಾಬನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂಧುತ್ವ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

2 After certain years he went down to Ahab to Samaria. Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people who were with him, and moved him to go up [with him] to Ramoth-gilead.ಕೆಲವು ವರುಷಗಳ ತರುವಾಯ ಅವನು ಅಹಾಬನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದನು; ಆಗ ಅಹಾಬನು ಅವನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇದ್ದ ಜನರಿಗೋ ಸ್ಕರವೂ ಅನೇಕ ಕುರಿದನಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಯಿಸಿ ತನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದನು.

3 Ahab king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat king of Judah, Will you go with me to Ramoth-gilead? He answered him, I am as you are, and my people as your people; and [we will be] with you in the war.ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಾ ಬನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟ ನಿಗೆ--ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬರುತ್ತೀಯೋ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವನು--ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ನನ್ನ ಜನರು ನಿನ್ನ ಜನರ ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರು ವೆವು ಅಂದನು.

4 Jehoshaphat said to the king of Israel, Please inquire first for the word of Yahweh.ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ--ದಯಮಾಡಿ ಈ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯವನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸು ಅಂದನು.

5 Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, four hundred men, and said to them, Shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? They said, Go up; for God will deliver it into the hand of the king.ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ನಾನೂರು ಮಂದಿ ಪ್ರವಾದಿ ಗಳನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ--ನಾವು ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮೋತಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಹುದೋ ಬಾರದೋ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವರು--ಹೋಗು; ದೇವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವನು ಅಂದರು.

6 But Jehoshaphat said, Isn't there here a prophet of Yahweh besides, that we may inquire of him?ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು--ಇವರ ಹೊರತಾಗಿ ನಾವು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ತನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಯು ಯಾವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲವೋ ಅಂದನು.

7 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man by whom we may inquire of Yahweh: but I hate him; for he never prophesies good concerning me, but always evil: the same is Micaiah the son of Imla. Jehoshaphat said, Don't let the king say so.ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೊಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ -- ನಾವು ಕರ್ತನಿಂದ ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಇಮ್ಲನ ಮಗನಾದ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುನೆಂಬವನು ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಗೆಮಾಡುತ್ತೇನೆ; ಅವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನಲ್ಲ; ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು--ಅರಸನು ಹಾಗೆ ಅನ್ನದಿರಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

8 Then the king of Israel called an officer, and said, Get quickly Micaiah the son of Imla.ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರ ಸನು ಒಬ್ಬ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಕರೆದು ಇಮ್ಲನ ಮಗ ನಾದ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವನ್ನು ಶೀಘ್ರವಾಗಿ ಕರಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ ಅಂದನು.

9 Now the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah sat each on his throne, arrayed in their robes, and they were sitting in an open place at the entrance of the gate of Samaria; and all the prophets were prophesying before them.ಆದರೆ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದ ಬಾಗಲಿನ ಮುಂದೆ ಬೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತಿದ್ದರು. ಸಕಲ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಅವರ ಮುಂದೆ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿದರು.

10 Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah made him horns of iron, and said, Thus says Yahweh, With these shall you push the Syrians, until they be consumed.ಆಗ ಕೆನಾನನ ಮಗನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀ ಯನು ತನಗೆ ಕಬ್ಬಿಣದ ಕೊಂಬುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು --ಇವುಗಳಿಂದ ನೀನು ಅರಾಮ್ಯರನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮೂಲ ಮಾಡುವ ವರೆಗೂ ಇರಿದು ಹಾಕುವಿ ಎಂದು ಕರ್ತನು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

11 All the prophets prophesied so, saying, Go up to Ramoth-gilead, and prosper; for Yahweh will deliver it into the hand of the king.ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳೂ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸಿ--ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ರಾಮೋ ತಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಜಯಹೊಂದು; ಕರ್ತನು ಅದನ್ನು ಅರಸನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಡುವನು ಅಂದರು.

12 The messenger who went to call Micaiah spoke to him, saying, Behold, the words of the prophets [declare] good to the king with one mouth: let your word therefore, Please be like one of theirs, and speak you good.ಆದರೆ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವನ್ನು ಕರೆಯುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದ ಸೇವಕನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ಇಗೋ, ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಮಾತುಗಳು ಒಂದೇ ಒಪ್ಪಿಗೆಯಿಂದ ಅರಸನಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೇ ದನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನ ಮಾತಿನ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇರಲಿ; ಒಳ್ಳೇ ಮಾತು ಆಡು ಅಂದನು.

13 Micaiah said, As Yahweh lives, what my God says, that will I speak.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಮಿಕಾಯೆಹುವು--ಕರ್ತನ ಜೀವ ದಾಣೆ, ನನ್ನ ದೇವರು ಏನು ಹೇಳುವನೋ ಅದನ್ನು ಹೇಳುವೆನು ಅಂದನು.

14 When he was come to the king, the king said to him, Micaiah, shall we go to Ramoth-gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? He said, Go up, and prosper; and they shall be delivered into your hand.ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವೇ, ನಾವು ರಾಮೋತ್‌ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿಗೆ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಲೋ ಇಲ್ಲವೆ ನಾವು ಹೋಗುವದು ಬೇಡವೋ? ಅಂದನು. ಆಗ ಅವನು--ಹೋಗಿ ಜಯಹೊಂದಿರಿ, ಅವರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಲ್ಪಡುವರು ಅಂದನು.

15 The king said to him, How many times shall I adjure you that you speak to me nothing but the truth in the name of Yahweh?ಆಗ ಅರಸನು ಅವನಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ಕರ್ತನ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸತ್ಯ ವನ್ನಲ್ಲದೆ ಬೇರೊಂದು ನನಗೆ ಹೇಳಬಾರದೆಂದು ನಾನು ಎಷ್ಟುಸಾರಿ ನಿನಗೆ ಆಣೆ ಇಡಬೇಕು ಅಂದನು.

16 He said, I saw all Israel scattered on the mountains, as sheep that have no shepherd: and Yahweh said, These have no master; let them return every man to his house in peace.ಅದ ಕ್ಕವನು--ಕಾಯುವವನಿಲ್ಲದ ಕುರಿಗಳ ಹಾಗೆ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಚದರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರನ್ನು ಕಂಡೆನು. ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯಜಮಾನನು ಇಲ್ಲ; ಪ್ರತಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಸಮಾಧಾನ ವಾಗಿ ತಿರುಗಲಿ ಅಂದನು.

17 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, Didn't I tell you that he would not prophesy good concerning me, but evil?ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ--ಇವನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಒಳ್ಳೇದನ್ನಲ್ಲ, ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನೇ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಸುವನೆಂದು ನಾನು ನಿನಗೆ ಹೇಳಲಿಲ್ಲವೇ ಅಂದನು.

18 [Micaiah] said, Therefore hear you the word of Yahweh: I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ--ಕರ್ತನ ವಾಕ್ಯ ವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು. ಕರ್ತನು ತನ್ನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವದನ್ನೂ ಆಕಾಶದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೈನ್ಯವು ಆತನ ಬಲಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಎಡಪಾರ್ಶ್ವದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ನಿಂತಿರು ವದನ್ನೂ ನಾನು ಕಂಡೆನು.

19 Yahweh said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? One spoke saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು--ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಾಬನು ಹೋಗಿ ರಾಮೋತ್‌ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬೀಳುವ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳು ಗೊಳಿಸುವವನು ಯಾರು ಅಂದನು.

20 There came forth a spirit, and stood before Yahweh, and said, I will entice him. Yahweh said to him, 'How?'ಒಬ್ಬನು ಹೀಗೆಯೂ ಮತ್ತೊಬ್ಬನು ಹಾಗೆಯೂ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಒಂದು ಆತ್ಮ ಹೊರಟು ಬಂದು ಕರ್ತನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು -- ನಾನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳುಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತೇನೆ ಅಂದಿತು.

21 He said, 'I will go forth, and will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets.' He said, 'You shall entice him, and shall prevail also: go forth, and do so.'ಆಗ ಕರ್ತನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ--ಯಾವದರಿಂದ ಅಂದನು. ಅದು--ನಾನು ಹೊರಟು ಅವನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬಾಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಆತ್ಮವಾಗಿರುವೆನು ಅಂದಿತು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಆತನು--ನೀನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಮರುಳು ಗೊಳಿಸುವಿ, ಮತ್ತು ಜಯಿಸುವಿ; ಹೊರಟುಹೋಗಿ ಹಾಗೆ ಮಾಡು ಅಂದನು.

22 Now therefore, behold, Yahweh has put a lying spirit in the mouth of these your prophets; and Yahweh has spoken evil concerning you.ಆದದರಿಂದ ಇಗೋ, ಕರ್ತನು ಈ ಸಮಸ್ತವಾದ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ಬಾಯಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಳ್ಳಾದ ಆತ್ಮವನ್ನು ಇಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾನೆ. ಕರ್ತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾನೆ ಅಂದನು.

23 Then Zedekiah the son of Chenaanah came near, and struck Micaiah on the cheek, and said, Which way went the Spirit of Yahweh from me to speak to you?ಆಗ ಕೆನಾನನ ಕುಮಾರನಾದ ಚಿದ್ಕೀಯನು ಸವಿಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದು ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವಿನ ಕೆನ್ನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹೊಡೆದು ಕರ್ತನ ಆತ್ಮವು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಮಾತಾನಾಡಲು ಯಾವ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಬಂತು ಅಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವು--

24 Micaiah said, Behold, you shall see on that day, when you shall go into an inner chamber to hide yourself.ಇಗೋ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟುಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಒಳಕೊಠಡಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವ ದಿವಸದಲ್ಲಿ ನೋಡುವಿ ಅಂದನು.

25 The king of Israel said, Take Micaiah, and carry him back to Amon the governor of the city, and to Joash the king's son;ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇ ಲಿನ ಅರಸನು--ನೀವು ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾದ ಆಮೋನನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಅರಸನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೋವಾಷನ ಬಳಿಗೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಒಯ್ದು ಹೀಗೆ ಹೇಳಿರಿ--

26 and say, Thus says the king, Put this fellow in the prison, and feed him with bread of affliction and with water of affliction, until I return in peace.ಅರಸನು ಹೇಳು ವದೇನಂದರೆ--ನೀವು ಇವನನ್ನು ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿಟ್ಟು ನಾನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಬರುವ ಮಟ್ಟಿಗೂ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬಾಧೆಯ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಯನ್ನೂ ಬಾಧೆಯ ನೀರನ್ನೂ ತಿನ್ನಲು ಕೊಡಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

27 Micaiah said, If you return at all in peace, Yahweh has not spoken by me. He said, Hear, you peoples, all of you.ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಾಕಾಯೆಹುವುನೀನು ಸಮಾಧಾನದಿಂದ ಬಂದೇ ಬರುವದಾದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ನನ್ನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಮಾತನಾಡಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ--ಜನರೇ, ನೀವೆಲ್ಲರು ಕೇಳಿರಿ ಅಂದನು.

28 So the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat the king of Judah went up to Ramoth-gilead.ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೂ ಯೆಹೂ ದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನೂ ರಾಮೋತ್‌ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿಗೆ ಹೋದರು.

29 The king of Israel said to Jehoshaphat, I will disguise myself, and go into the battle; but put you on your robes. So the king of Israel disguised himself; and they went into the battle.ಆಗ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರ ಸನು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನಿಗೆ--ನಾನು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆ ಮಾಜಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವೆನು; ಆದರೆ ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರು ಅಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರೆಮಾಜಿದನು; ಅವರು ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋದರು.

30 Now the king of Syria had commanded the captains of his chariots, saying, Fight neither with small nor great, save only with the king of Israel.ಆದರೆ ಅರಾಮಿನ ಅರಸನು ತನ್ನ ರಥಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಅಧಿಕಾರವುಳ್ಳವರಿಗೆನೀವು ಹಿರಿಕಿರಿಯರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡದೆ ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನ ಸಂಗಡವೇ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದ್ದನು.

31 It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw Jehoshaphat, that they said, It is the king of Israel. Therefore they turned about to fight against him: but Jehoshaphat cried out, and Yahweh helped him; and God moved them [to depart] from him.ಆದದರಿಂದ ರಥಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿ ಗಳು ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದಾಗ--ನಿಶ್ಚ ಯವಾಗಿ ಇವನೇ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವದಕ್ಕೆ ಸುತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡರು. ಯೆಹೋಷಾಫಾಟನು ಕೂಗಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕರ್ತನು ಅವ ನಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಅವನ ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ತೊಲಗಿಸಿದನು.

32 It happened, when the captains of the chariots saw that it was not the king of Israel, that they turned back from pursuing him.ಅವನು ಇಸ್ರಾ ಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ರಥಗಳ ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳು ನೋಡಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ತಿರುಗಿಕೊಂಡರು.

33 A certain man drew his bow at a venture, and struck the king of Israel between the joints of the armor. Therefore he said to the driver of the chariot, Turn your hand, and carry me out of the host; for I am sore wounded.ಆದರೆ ಒಬ್ಬನು ಗುರಿಯಿಡದೆ ಬಿಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಬಾಣ ವನ್ನೇರಿಸಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸನನ್ನು ಕವಚದ ಸಂದು ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹೊಡೆದನು. ಆದದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ತನ್ನ ಸಾರಥಿಗೆ--ನೀನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿಸಿ ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೈನ್ಯದೊಳಗಿಂದ ಆಚೇಕಡೆ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗು; ನಾನು ಗಾಯಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದೇನೆ ಅಂದನು.
