அப்பொழுது கர்த்தருடைய சேனையின் அதிபதி யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: உன் கால்களிலிருக்கிற பாதரட்சைகளைக் கழற்றிப்போடு, நீ நிற்கிற இடம் பரிசுத்தமானது என்றார்; யோசுவா அப்படியே செய்தான்.

கர்த்தருடைய படையின் சேனாதிபதி, “உனது பாதரட்சையைக் கழற்று. நீ நிற்குமிடம் பரிசுத்தமானது” என்று கூறினார். யோசுவா அவ்வாறே கீழ்ப்படிந்தான்.
