ஆனாலும் தங்கள் அரணிப்போடே இருந்த பட்டணங்களையெல்லாம் இஸ்ரவேலர் சுட்டெரித்துப்போடாமல் வைத்தார்கள்; ஆத்சோரைமாத்திரம் யோசுவா சுட்டெரித்துப்போட்டான்.

ஆனால் இஸ்ரவேல் படை மலைகளின் மேல் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த நகரங்களை எரிக்கவில்லை. மலையின் மேல் கட்டப்பட்டிருந்த நகரங்களில் அவர்கள் எரித்தழித்த ஒரே நகரம் ஆத்சோர் ஆகும். யோசுவா இந்நகரத்தை எரித்தான்.
