Proverbs 1 - ASV (Hindi)

1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:दाऊद के पुत्र इस्राएल के राजा सुलैमान के नीतिवचन:

2 To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;इनके द्वारा पढ़ने वाला बुद्धि और शिक्षा प्राप्त करे, और समझ की बातें समझे,

3 To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity;और काम करने में प्रवीणता, और धर्म, न्याय और सीधाई की शिक्षा पाए;

4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:कि भोलों को चतुराई, और जवान को ज्ञान और विवेक मिले;

5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain unto sound counsels:कि बुद्धिमान सुन कर अपनी विद्या बढ़ाए, और समझदार बुद्धि का उपदेश पाए,

6 To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.जिस से वे नितिवचन और दृष्टान्त को, और बुद्धिमानों के वचन और उनके रहस्यों को समझें॥

7 The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of knowledge; `But' the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.यहोवा का भय मानना बुद्धि का मूल है; बुद्धि और शिक्षा को मूढ़ ही लोग तुच्छ जानते हैं॥

8 My son, hear the instruction of thy father, And forsake not the law of thy mother:हे मेरे पुत्र, अपने पिता की शिक्षा पर कान लगा, और अपनी माता की शिक्षा को न तज;

9 For they shall be a chaplet of grace unto thy head, And chains about thy neck.क्योंकि वे मानो तेरे सिर के लिये शोभायमान मुकुट, और तेरे गले के लिये कन्ठ माला होंगी।

10 My son, if sinners entice thee, Consent thou not.हे मेरे पुत्र, यदि पापी लोग तुझे फुसलाएँ, तो उनकी बात न मानना।

11 If they say, Come with us, Let us lay wait for blood; Let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause;यदि वे कहें, हमारे संग चल कि, हम हत्या करने के लिये घात लगाएं हम निर्दोषों की ताक में रहें;

12 Let us swallow them up alive as Sheol, And whole, as those that go down into the pit;हम अधोलोक की नाईं उन को जीवता, कबर में पड़े हुओं के समान समूचा निगल जाएं;

13 We shall find all precious substance; We shall fill our houses with spoil;हम को सब प्रकार के अनमोल पदार्थ मिलेंगे, हम अपने घरों को लूट से भर लेंगे;

14 Thou shalt cast thy lot among us; We will all have one purse:तू हमारा साझी हो जा, हम सभों का एक ही बटुआ हो,

15 My son, walk not thou in the way with them; Refrain thy foot from their path:तो, हे मेरे पुत्र तू उनके संग मार्ग में न चलना, वरन उनकी डगर में पांव भी न धरना;

16 For their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed blood.क्योंकि वे बुराई की करने को दौड़ते हैं, और हत्या करने को फुर्ती करते हैं।

17 For in vain is the net spread In the sight of any bird:क्योंकि पक्षी के देखते हुए जाल फैलाना व्यर्थ होता है;

18 And these lay wait for their own blood; They lurk privily for their own lives.और ये लोग तो अपनी ही हत्या करने के लिये घात लगाते हैं, और अपने ही प्राणों की घात की ताक में रहते हैं।

19 So are the ways of every one that is greedy of gain; It taketh away the life of the owners thereof.सब लालचियों की चाल ऐसी ही होती है; उनका प्राण लालच ही के कारण नाश हो जाता है॥

20 Wisdom crieth aloud in the street; She uttereth her voice in the broad places;बुद्धि सड़क में ऊंचे स्वर से बोलती है; और चौकों में प्रचार करती है;

21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse; At the entrance of the gates, In the city, she uttereth her words:वह बाजारों की भीड़ में पुकारती है; वह फाटकों के बीच में और नगर के भीतर भी ये बातें बोलती है:

22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? And scoffers delight them in scoffing, And fools hate knowledge?हे भोले लोगो, तुम कब तक भोलेपन से प्रीति रखोगे? और हे ठट्ठा करने वालो, तुम कब तक ठट्ठा करने से प्रसन्न रहोगे? और हे मूर्खों, तुम कब तक ज्ञान से बैर रखोगे?

23 Turn you at my reproof: Behold, I will pour out my spirit upon you; I will make known my words unto you.तुम मेरी डांट सुन कर मन फिराओ; सुनो, मैं अपनी आत्मा तुम्हारे लिये उण्डेल दूंगी; मैं तुम को अपने वचन बताऊंगी।

24 Because I have called, and ye have refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man hath regarded;मैं ने तो पुकारा परन्तु तुम ने इनकार किया, और मैं ने हाथ फैलाया, परन्तु किसी ने ध्यान न दिया,

25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, And would none of my reproof:वरन तुम ने मेरी सारी सम्मति को अनसुनी किया, और मेरी ताड़ना का मूल्य न जाना;

26 I also will laugh in `the day of' your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;इसलिये मैं भी तुम्हारी विपत्ति के समय हंसूंगी; और जब तुम पर भय आ पड़ेगा,

27 When your fear cometh as a storm, And your calamity cometh on as a whirlwind; When distress and anguish come upon you.वरन आंधी की नाईं तुम पर भय आ पड़ेगा, और विपत्ति बवण्डर के समान आ पड़ेगी, और तुम संकट और सकेती में फंसोगे, तब मैं ठट्ठा करूंगी।

28 Then will they call upon me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they shall not find me:उस समय वे मुझे पुकारेंगे, और मैं न सुनूंगी; वे मुझे यत्न से तो ढूंढ़ेंगे, परन्तु न पाएंगे।

29 For that they hated knowledge, And did not choose the fear of Jehovah:क्योंकि उन्होंने ज्ञान से बैर किया, और यहोवा का भय मानना उन को न भाया।

30 They would none of my counsel; They despised all my reproof.उन्होंने मेरी सम्मति न चाही वरन मेरी सब ताड़नाओं को तुच्छ जाना।

31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, And be filled with their own devices.इसलिये वे अपनी करनी का फल आप भोगेंगे, और अपनी युक्तियों के फल से अघा जाएंगे।

32 For the backsliding of the simple shall slay them, And the careless ease of fools shall destroy them.क्योंकि भोले लोगों का भटक जाना, उनके घात किए जाने का कारण होगा, और निश्चिन्त रहने के कारण मूढ़ लोग नाश होंगे;

33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell securely, And shall be quiet without fear of evil.परन्तु जो मेरी सुनेगा, वह निडर बसा रहेगा, और बेखटके सुख से रहेगा॥
