இந்தக் கற்கள் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய நாமங்களின்படியே பன்னிரண்டும், அவர்களுடைய நாமங்களுள்ளவைகளுமாயிருந்தது; பன்னிரண்டு கோத்திரங்களில் ஒவ்வொரு கோத்திரத்தின் நாமம் ஒவ்வொன்றிலும் முத்திரை வெட்டாய் வெட்டியிருந்தது.
