ஆகையால் ஏழையின் ஞானம் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டு, அவன் வார்த்தைகள் கேட்கப்படாமற்போனாலும், பெலத்தைப்பார்க்கிலும் ஞானமே உத்தமம் என்றேன்.

எனினும் நான் இப்பொழுதும் ஞானம் பலத்தைவிட சிறந்தது என்பேன். அந்த ஜனங்கள் ஏழையின் ஞானத்தை மறந்துவிட்டார்கள். அவன் சொன்னதைக் கவனிப்பதை நிறுத்திவிட்டார்கள். ஞானமே சிறந்தது என்று நான் இன்னமும் நம்புகிறேன்.

I, אָ֔נִי ʾănî uh-NEE
better טוֹבָ֥ה ṭôb tove
Wisdom חָכְמָ֖ה ḥokmâ hoke-MA
than strength: מִגְּבוּרָ֑ה gĕbûrâ ɡeh-voo-RA
wisdom וְחָכְמַ֤ת ḥokmâ hoke-MA
nevertheless the poor man's הַמִּסְכֵּן֙ miskēn mees-KANE
despised, בְּזוּיָ֔ה bāzâ ba-ZA
and his words וּדְבָרָ֖יו dābār da-VAHR
are not אֵינָ֥ם ʾayin ah-YEEN
heard. נִשְׁמָעִֽים׃ šāmaʿ sha-MA
