1 யோனத்தான்நிமித்தம் என்னால் தயவுபெறத்தக்கவன் எவனாவது சவுலின் வீட்டாரில் இன்னும் மீதியாயிருக்கிறவன் உண்டா என்று தாவீது கேட்டான். And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

2 அப்பொழுது சவுலின் வீட்டு வேலைக்காரனாகிய சீபா என்னும் பேருள்ளவனைத் தாவீதினிடத்தில் அழைத்துவந்தார்கள்; ராஜா அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீதானா சீபா என்று கேட்டான்; அவன் அடியேன்தான் என்றான். And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

3 அப்பொழுது ராஜா: தேவன்நிமித்தம் நான் சவுலின் குடும்பத்தாருக்குத் தயைசெய்யும்படி அவன் வீட்டாரில் யாதொருவன் இன்னும் மீதியாய் இருக்கிறானா என்று கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: இன்னும் யோனத்தானுக்கு இரண்டு கால்களும் முடமான ஒரு குமாரன் இருக்கிறான் என்றான். And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

4 அவன் எங்கே என்று ராஜா கேட்டதற்கு, சீபா ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: இதோ, அவன் லோதேபாரிலே அம்மியேலின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீரின் வீட்டில் இருக்கிறான் என்றான். And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

5 அப்பொழுது தாவீதுராஜா அவனை லோதேபாரிலிருக்கிற அம்மியேலின் குமாரனாகிய மாகீரின் வீட்டிலிருந்து அழைப்பித்தான். Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

6 சவுலின் குமாரனாகிய யோனத்தானின் மகன் மேவிபோசேத் தாவீதினிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்துவணங்கினான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீது: மேவிபோசேத்தே என்றான்; அவன்: இதோ, அடியேன் என்றான். Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

7 தாவீது அவனைப் பார்த்து: நீ பயப்படாதே; உன் தகப்பனாகிய யோனத்தான்நிமித்தம் நான் நிச்சயமாய் உனக்குத் தயைசெய்து, உன் தகப்பனாகிய சவுலின் நிலங்களையெல்லாம் உனக்குத் திரும்பக்கொடுப்பேன்; நீ என் பந்தியில் நித்தம் அப்பம் புசிப்பாய் என்றான். And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

8 அப்பொழுது அவன் வணங்கி: செத்த நாயைப்போலிருக்கிற என்னை நீர் நோக்கிப்பார்க்கிறதற்கு, உமது அடியான் எம்மாத்திரம் என்றான். And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

9 ராஜா சவுலின் வேலைக்காரனாகிய சீபாவை அழைப்பித்து, அவனை நோக்கி: சவுலுக்கும் அவர் வீட்டார் எல்லாருக்கும் இருந்த யாவையும் உன் எஜமானுடைய குமாரனுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன். Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

10 ஆகையால் நீ உன் குமாரரையும் உன் வேலைக்காரரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, உன் எஜமானுடைய குமாரன் புசிக்க அப்பம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்படி, அந்த நிலத்தைப் பயிரிட்டு அதின் பலனைச் சேர்ப்பாயாக; உன் எஜமானுடைய குமாரன் மேவிபோசேத் நிமித்தம் என் பந்தியிலே அப்பம் புசிப்பான் என்றான்; சீபாவுக்குப் பதினைந்து குமாரரும் இருபது வேலைக்காரரும் இருந்தார்கள். Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11 சீபா, ராஜாவை நோக்கி: ராஜாவாகிய என் ஆண்டவன் தமது அடியானுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியெல்லாம் உமது அடியானாகிய நான் செய்வேன் என்றான். ராஜகுமாரரில் ஒருவனைப்போல, மேவிபோசேத் என் பந்தியிலே அசனம்பண்ணுவான் என்று ராஜா சொன்னான். Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

12 மேவிபோசேத்திற்கு மீகா என்னும் பேருள்ள சிறுவனாகிய ஒரு குமாரன் இருந்தான், சீபாவின் வீட்டிலே குடியிருந்த யாவரும் மேவிபோசேத்திற்கு வேலைக்காரராயிருந்தார்கள். And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.

1 Yonaththaannimiththam ennaal thayavuperaththakkavan evanaavathu savulin veettaril innum meethiyaayirukkiravan unndaa entu David kaettan. And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?

2 Appoluthu savulin veettu vaelaikkaaranaakiya seepaa ennum paerullavanaith thaaveethinidaththil alaiththuvanthaarkal; raajaa avanaip paarththu: neethaanaa seepaa entu kaettan; avan atiyaenthaan entan. And there was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba. And when they had called him unto David, the king said unto him, Art thou Ziba? And he said, Thy servant is he.

3 Appoluthu raajaa: Dhevannimiththam naan savulin kudumpaththaarukkuth thayaiseyyumpati avan veettaril yaathoruvan innum meethiyaay irukkiraanaa entu kaettatharku, seepaa raajaavaip paarththu: innum yonaththaanukku iranndu kaalkalum mudamaana oru kumaaran irukkiraan entan. And the king said, Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God unto him? And Ziba said unto the king, Jonathan hath yet a son, which is lame on his feet.

4 Avan engae entu raajaa kaettatharku, seepaa raajaavaip paarththu: itho, avan lothaepaarilae ammiyaelin kumaaranaakiya maageerin veettil irukkiraan entan. And the king said unto him, Where is he? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he is in the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, in Lodebar.

5 Appoluthu Davidraajaa avanai lothaepaarilirukkira ammiyaelin kumaaranaakiya maageerin veettilirunthu alaippiththaan. Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir, the son of Ammiel, from Lodebar.

6 Savulin kumaaranaakiya yonaththaanin makan maeviposeth thaaveethinidaththil vanthapothu, mukanguppura vilunthuvananginaan; appoluthu David: maeviposeththae entan; avan: itho, atiyaen entan. Now when Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, was come unto David, he fell on his face, and did reverence. And David said, Mephibosheth. And he answered, Behold thy servant!

7 David avanaip paarththu: nee payappadaathae; un thakappanaakiya yonaththaannimiththam naan nichchayamaay unakkuth thayaiseythu, un thakappanaakiya savulin nilangalaiyellaam unakkuth thirumpakkoduppaen; nee en panthiyil niththam appam pusippaay entan. And David said unto him, Fear not: for I will surely show thee kindness for Jonathan thy father's sake, and will restore thee all the land of Saul thy father; and thou shalt eat bread at my table continually.

8 Appoluthu avan vanangi: seththa naayaippolirukkira ennai neer Nnokkippaarkkiratharku, umathu atiyaan emmaaththiram entan. And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I am?

9 Raajaa savulin vaelaikkaaranaakiya seepaavai alaippiththu, avanai Nnokki: savulukkum avar veettar ellaarukkum iruntha yaavaiyum un ejamaanutaiya kumaaranukkuk koduththaen. Then the king called to Ziba, Saul's servant, and said unto him, I have given unto thy master's son all that pertained to Saul and to all his house.

10 Aakaiyaal nee un kumaararaiyum un vaelaikkaararaiyum koottikkonndu, un ejamaanutaiya kumaaran pusikka appam unndaayirukkumpati, antha nilaththaip payirittu athin palanaich serppaayaaka; un ejamaanutaiya kumaaran maeviposeth nimiththam en panthiyilae appam pusippaan entan; seepaavukkup pathinainthu kumaararum irupathu vaelaikkaararum irunthaarkal. Thou therefore, and thy sons, and thy servants, shall till the land for him, and thou shalt bring in the fruits, that thy master's son may have food to eat: but Mephibosheth thy master's son shall eat bread alway at my table. Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

11 Seepaa, raajaavai Nnokki: raajaavaakiya en aanndavan thamathu atiyaanukkuk kattalaiyittapatiyellaam umathu atiyaanaakiya naan seyvaen entan. Raajakumaararil oruvanaippola, maeviposeth en panthiyilae asanampannnuvaan entu raajaa sonnaan. Then said Ziba unto the king, According to all that my lord the king hath commanded his servant, so shall thy servant do. As for Mephibosheth, said the king, he shall eat at my table, as one of the king's sons.

12 Maeviposeththirku meekaa ennum paerulla siraுvanaakiya oru kumaaran irunthaan, seepaavin veettilae kutiyiruntha yaavarum maeviposeththirku vaelaikkaararaayirunthaarkal. And Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Micha. And all that dwelt in the house of Ziba were servants unto Mephibosheth.
